The plaintiff brings one of her sisters to court. She says the defendant broke her television and Xbox, so she’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendant argues the plaintiff’s husband put her in a chokehold, and he’s the one who fell on the TV.

This family's "episode" is probably like a Wednesday afternoon for them. Straight up dysfunction. The judge questioning the defendant about the gun situation and why she didnt mention it in her official statement was a little irritating to me. If she doesn't properly understand when a family has lived a state of dysfunction their entire life, the gun situation was likely downplayed in the grand scheme of things bc they have experienced so many traumatic incidents and experiences so the situation with the gun didnt hold a lot of weight bc everything they have experienced has been terrible. It's just the foundation of their family dynamic. This judge comes from a pretty "normal" and somewhat privledge background and can't really relate. A great judge can put themselves in someone else's shoes or have the willingness to do that in order to make a truly fair and accurate decision/judgement. I like this judge but i feel like she lacks the above. And i realize its tv court and the theatrics are a part of the show but it can be a little annoying at times. However, i still enjoy the show overall.
