Sounds like both men are doing an awesome job raising the child, the issue was the amount owed for damages & not their relationship status. First, the defendant caused all this himself. Just file a insurance claim and be done. He never really explained why he didn't have the car fixed. He didn't want to file a claim because his rates would have been sky high after Second, I would never and most of you wouldn't either have your 16 year old accept delivery of a car that had been fixed by a body shop. There's a ton of stuff that could still be wrong. Third, the mom has to do better. Clearly they both care about the daughter so at some point they need to come together. If there was an issue between the men the mom should be the one to tamper down the hostility between them.

If the mom would have responded and step dad would answer him all of that would’ve been resolved. What it is, is that y’all tried to discredit the bio dad and replaced him with SD and that’s a same. The Plaintiff doesn’t like the Defendant. The car was just the catalyst to get something started. I also think the daughter didn’t tell her Father everything about what she did to the car.
