I've been "toying" with Caustic for somewhere around two years. There is so much to this mobile DAW it absolutely astounds me. Every video I watch (or re-watch) shows me something I hadn't realized, and opens up an entirely new world of possibilities.

I very nearly bought the FL app until i read someone's comment basically saying that Caustic pee's on FL from such a great height. So I took a look. I'd barely played with Caustic 10 mins and after seeing all the extra and cheap plugins available my money was on it's way to the developer... Image Line have got a LOT to learn from this guy!

Love this app, im not fully hardcore invested in producing music and I'm on a teenagers budget so caustic is a great way for me to learn and expirement with audio production without spending tons of cash on FL and things, not to mention the graphical interface is extremely well done, all controls are obvious and accessible, and it's an amazing app. Keep up the amazing work

Almost finished with my first full mixdown in Caustic3 with all originally designed sound in modular and custom drum kit. Unbelievable result. Im running this through an audio interface and jbl monitors. Im blown away still at how awesome this app turned out to be.

@@micmacha this is so much more limited than fl studio man, this is a toy conpaired to it. This limits the number of bars to 8 where as in fl its limitless per pattern. Automation clips are more flexible on fl, the list goes on including mainly the ability to drag sample packs in.

I've been using the same off brand program since 98, never liked fruity loops. Honestly feel like Abelton is made wrong, I finally switched after finding caustic and was able to jump right in. Great daw!

Intense for this affordable app! I'd only want to add some numerical info, or at least a grid with the default value emphasized. If I want to mess around with panning for example and finally get back to absolute center, I am not sure I will hit it. Of course I can go to the mixer and stop-motion rec the center position. However, if I move the keyframes, can I do it without changing the amplitudes, by locking the vertical direction? Let's see...

Try just recording it in pattern mode, then clicking on the automation button when everything is stopped to see if it will let you play with the levels you've recorded maybe?

Move the all of your key frames to the middle, and change the first key frame to the value you want to have before the automation - notice these half-transparent orange lines coming from first and last keyframe.

I went for fl studio mobile. 0 regrets. Actually i fucking love it. I'll admit that I didn't had the patience to learn caustic (also the record function was buggy as hell so that was a turn off). Try it out. There's nothing you can do on PC that you can't do in the app.

All you talk about is the basic s*** i figured out in 5 minutes after using this machine for the first time. I wish you showed changing to the 2nd pattern or any other than the first (original) pattern. Cuz as soon as i switch there is no automation input at all. Then i go back to the 1st ..and that's still fine. When i try the proces of re-creating it on another pattern number in the machine nothing happens .. so please ..tell me something useful instead of the obvious.

Okay ..you see that volume tab on the left ..and the orange A and 1? When I switch to a different numer, or letter for that cause, the volune tab on the left is gone ..so it's not linked to that or any of the other numbers/letters. When i redo the steps i usually do to create that tab to be able to automate it nothing happens. When i go back to the original number, the number that did work the automation doesn't seem to work anymore. Now I'm wondering if that is because caustic 3 supposedly isn't compatible with my s23u, if there is just something I'm missing or if it's just buggy eiher way ...i don't feel like making a new machine for every variety of the tune in trying to make
