Cautiously Aggressive Pre Spawn Monster Bass on a FROG Lure

In early Spring, which can come during winter in central Florida, the sun brings warmth to the shallows. The bass move in to get warm. Their metabolisms speed up and their hormones begin to flow. Even before the males begin to create the beds, they become more active and aggressive, attacking and sometimes eating any intruders. The larger females also pay a visit to the shallows, hoping for a meal to nourish the eggs beginning to develop, but they are still more cautious, preferring mostly to protect their own welfare on the during the brighter days.
Big bass usually prefer the cover of lower light level for serious feeding attempts, but the hormones of spring and warmer water shallows lure them up into postion, where you can take your shot at luring them into eating, if you don’t spook them first in the calm, clear, shallow water. You will do well on those Clones with the High Detail Legs while you wait for your custom FROGs. That's what I have been fishing for the past couple seasons. Worked great on the big 'uns !
