Retro here. 'Fire' won with an exceeding amount over 'sand': 15 against 3. Sorry everyone who was hoping for Fire Emblem! I've decided to just stick with basic words rather than naming part of the song from a game. It makes it too obvious and I want the options to be as blatant as possible so they both have a fair chance.
On another note, I got all four wisdom teeth pulled a couple days ago. That was fun. Not.
Hope you enjoy this Cave Story remix. Personally, I've never played the game myself but I love the soundtrack. I'll definitely give it a play through when I have the time but as of right now I'm too busy.

In case you didn't know there are angels in both heaven and hell. So it makes perfect sense, regardless this level is ridiculously brutal.

Mr.StrawberryGamer Yes the level itself isn't all that bad just as long as you know the pattern of all the enemies; this doesn't take long to learn. And the mini boss goes really fast if you just spam curly's nemesis and your rocket launcher while only jumping over the messengers and moving to avoid lightning strikes. All you really have to do is keep the health pot until you fight Ballos. Otherwise the only part you really have to take your time on is the falling brick section.

I really enjoy this remix, the only thing that disappoints me a bit is when the chorus plays. Its missing the real punch, if you know what I mean. The deep tones which plays during the verse and high tones that builds up for the chorus is part of what i'm talking about. Something like that

I know this comment is 2 years old but I just wanted to state, part of the reason I love the original running hell so much, same with the final fight theme, is that they lack that punch and it really feels like the do or die moment rather than the "I'm the hero so everything goes my way" type of thing. That's part of the reason I heavily dislike most of the cave story remixes.

Quote and Curly are unique among the machines sent to the island ten years ago; they alone had the mission of destroying the demon crown and I believe that their advanced construction is why they appear so human-like. The killer robot that you talk to in the core only vaguely resembles a human and, while its eroded appearance may be owed to the humid air in the water-filled chamber and the damage it sustained in the battle with the core, its mannerisms and mode of speech are far different than that of a human--and of Curly and Quote.

I feel like this is the best version of this song. It really makes me feel like danger could come out and kill you at any time, which is fitting because the blood stained sanctuary/ sacred grounds is arguably the most difficult area in cave story.

The insta-kill spikes are what's called "artificial difficulty." You want to see difficult? Try the Last Cave or the Waterway; those two places manage to be pretty hard without resorting to cheap tricks like instant-death traps.

Probably because Cave Story (CS)'s mountain on the floating island looks remarkably like Mt.Ebott from Undertale. Whether that was intentional or not, Pixel (The developer that made CS made a game called Kero Blaster which, if nothing else is really fun, has a mode similar to most game's "New Game+" mode that is *EXTREMELY* difficult, and has a remix of CS's "Zombie" for a boss theme. Zombie's the track that plays when (SPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERS) the walls close in after killing Ballos. Sorry for making such a long comment.

Undertale was inspired by Cave Story. 3. They both follow a silent protagonist 4. They have multiple endings 5. You wake up in a cave with no memories and you find monsters 6.
