I like how cars leave out the left lane. Here in the California, you are driving on a four lane highway, then you see four cars driving right next to each other going under the speed limit and holding up the entire traffic.

I ride a bike in Thailand and every lane is thhe fast lane. Guys use the road like a race track. Super dangerous.

I have the '05 Bol D'or model which has 114hp. Not that it's important ...but I rarely get above 200kph but what's amazing is how fast it gets there - and without changing gear. Use the 'box and it's a rocket ship. The other thing about the bike that surprised me is how nimble it is once you're rolling. Easy to ride as a 250....My 2 cents....

The best thing on this bike, is being able to drive on some mountain road with your wife on the backseat, keeping the 5th gear. I have a CBR 600 1995, and a CB 1300 2007. Max speed when it was brand new was 240kph. The acceleration killed almost every bike I crossed, except maybe that old Vmax, and that 1400 hayabusa. But I should have put the 4th gear... :)

I should have mentioned that my gsx1100 was worked to the max by the previous owner so it was far from standard , but the other bikes were standard except for stuff like pipes etc . I dont care what the offical speeds were , we all know that is different for each bike depending on how there run in , weight of rider etc etc .

yes your correct top speed is not the be all and end all , Was just commenting on the speed of the bike considering it was quite modern and 1300cc that it was in realitive terms slow. I have thought about buying a cb1300 a while back and dont dislike them at all. Just thought i could do better for the same money...... for my style of riding , im still way to young for a cruzer lol..... but at the end of the day you have to buy what suits you . It dont matter what you ride just as long as u do.

cb1300 is good for 289 kmh or in uk money 180mph ... just need her geared right - the power is endless :)

I never commented to try and upset anyone but what i have said is the absolute truth, I don't care what you believe or think you know ...i have owned all the bikes i have mentioned here and have had my gps on most of them (but not all) Infact my 1980 gsx1100 would do 305km and that was timed with cert'ed equipment over a flying mile back in 89 ........... and if you really need to know my age, it is 50 something and i have owned over 100 bikes with 36 of them being brand new .

saiba que o o GPS marca Muito mais correto que o Velocímetro da Moto, por exemplo no Momento em que ele atingiu os 218KM/H mostrados no GPS o Velocímetro com certeza estava Marcando algo em torno de 240 KM/H, vc diz ter atingido 255 Km/H na sua, se vc tivesse conferido com um GPS igual o Cidadão do Vídeo os seus 255 seriam diminuídos para algo em torno de 230 KM/H.

255 km/h já coloquei na minha B12, CBR 1000 do lado confirmou (as duas podem estar marcando errado? Talvez). Eu gosto muito do estilo da Bandit e da CB1300 e quero agora uma CB13, o duro vai ser adquirir uma dessa e tomar pau das Bandida. Admiro o fino trato da CB13 mas quero algo que ande com força!

I guess I just wonder why a virtually naked bike, big and comfy, would be dismissed because it's "slow" when superbike speeds is clearly not what the bike is about. Horses for courses surely - but you've just dissed it seemingly without thought of this. Surely top speed doesn't count for much in the scheme of things with the local constabulary always on the look out for excessive speed

dude , that is NOT the top speed of that bike !!! I own one and without saying too much ... it goes A LOT quicker :) mind , it has a full akra exhaust and k&n filter but try for faster ... should get you there quicker too ... did you have throttle fully open ??

sorry sir .. you are wrong :) been 15mph over your estimated max ( on a vlosed road your honour ;) and it still had more to give ... though mine does have a full akra exhaust , power filter etc ... like I say , 145bhp on the rolling road ... no major engine mods :) awesome bike :) but a 600 would be nippier , louder , twitchier ( but way more flickable) ... just saying , its a fast , capable bike ... just deserves a lot of respect ;)

No way would a stock 1980GSX1100 do 156 mph even one up, let alone with a pillion. That was a naked bike with a top speed of maybe 140 mph a really good day but more like a true 135 mph in normal riding conditions.. My 1986 FJ 1200, which is more powerful and very aerodynamic by comparison would hit a true 150 mph under perfect conditions and all tucked in, incl the mirrors ridden solo. The Hornet 900 has a radar tested best top speed of about 224 kph or 140 mph.

can't help but wonder about the number of people here commenting that their bikes are oh so fast. Wake up call - the speedometers DON'T tell the truth people. They may be 10% out. When the official road tests by professional bike testers can't match YOUR top speed on the same type of vehicle doesn't that ring some sort of alarm bell??

I am the owner of cb1300sf model SC40. My top speed was 214 km\h (Garmin nuvi 255w), speedometer show approximately 230 km\h. But I do the test with the high wind screen.

Das ist nicht die höchstgeschwindigkeit. Irgendwas stimmt mit deiner maschine nciht sie beschleunigt langsam. Meine läuft laut GPS 252Klamotten mit originalen 116PS.

Dann stimmt aber auch etwas mit deinem GPS nicht. Bei Tacho ~250 (das waren dann ziemlich genau 230 GPS) geht sie in den Begrenzer. (Standardübersetzung) Null Chance irgendwie schneller zu fahren.

Holy crap i wont be buying one of those .... to slow ..... my old school 1980 gsx1100 would do 250kph 2 up and still have more .....my cb900 hornet would do 240km ..... and my SV1000 can do in excess of 250 ..... according to my gps. I think its the way ya run them in .... all my new bikes were fast as fuck but right from the go, i rode them like i stole em ..... in fact i thrashed the shit out of em ...what did i care they all had a 2 yr warranty, and I never had to use it .
