I have a nighthawk 250, I made it into a “mad max” type of bike 🤘🏼 It actually came out really nice! I have some mesh and diamond plate welded on the sides and back of the bike, to make it look apocalyptish and custom painted the gas tank and did some airbrushing on it as well.

Just bought one of these in original condition for $505 last week starting to build one i hopefully get it in under $500 with a carby ruibuld and over sized jet(mototrbike mechanic doing it for me i hate doing carbys )as i will also be taking the baffels out of the pipes . When takin out baffels the engines are tuneed for the baffels and run nice when removing all ( well nearly ) back preassure be sure to over size the jet as it will run lean causing it to run hotter and shorten the life sapn needing more replacement oils , plugs .. Remeber folks when removing baffles change to over size jet inthe carby. It can go with the GN 250 scrambler , i shall have to make 3 for my 3 children then i can start on the Suzuiki Bouilovade 650 S40 scrambler for me ....

Hey man! Nice work. Looks amazing! I am curious about the seat? Did you cut off any of the back of the frame for this one to fit? Also, where did you get the fender spray guard and tail-light?
@hendragster2 жыл бұрын
Yes I had to cut the tail section of the frame that has tail light brackets and stuff probably weighed 5-6 lbs of steel. I had to make bracket for the seat to mount on the frame out of door hinges.

What tank is that?
@mayhembike2 жыл бұрын
For the tank you put on did the front mounting points fit right on? And do you have to extend the mounting bolt location to match the factory single bolt hole? Any followup short video of how you got it put on would be great. Was entertaining same for my 91'.

Sold the bike last year trying to remember what I did... The tank was shorter by 3 or 4 inches so did make a bracket to compensate shorter gas tank. The front I just had to grind those rubber mounting pieces a little on my bench grinder to fit the new tank. It was a cheap and fun build no welding at all.

Very nice but I would have put a beefier front light.

I see the baffles have been removed, sounds good but does it have any loss in performance?
@hendragster2 жыл бұрын
No actually opens up the bike a little so it's not as restricted but that is just the tip DB killer. The actual baffle is right behind but will need hole saw to remove it

Did you have to move the rubber grommets to fit the Suzuki gn125 tank?
@hendragster2 жыл бұрын
I think I just shaved them off like 1/4" to fit I can't remember it's been a while and sold the bike
