Rich, I’ve enjoyed every moment of this build and you should be proud. You have created an amazing little scrambler. I’m quite envious, well done mate, I just lost my mum this week and I can tell you I’m feeling it, but it helps when your videos pop up, they got me through furlough and all these little extras certainly help to keep me going. I’m going to be moving soon, and will try and get regular videos in when I’m settled, and hopefully do something similar. I’ve certainly learned a thing or two from you. Look forward to your next project for sure, thanks, Rich

Really sorry for your loss, hope you are doing ok. Im glad the series has been a help for you, even if it was just a distraction for a bit. Good luck with the move, looking forward to more videos, but just remember to take it one step at a time, first job shoyld be looking after you and your family. Then when you are ready, get the spanners out. stay strong. 👍

Yeah, well done mate. Great to see it from go to whoa. So many achievements, but what impressed me most was the custom exhaust. And I think from viewing your reaction again after you started the bike, you were pretty stoked by that too. I've just finished customising a nighthawk with my son..... And now I have the bug. Your vids are a great inspiration, so please keep them coming. I just bought a 1980 KZ440, so maybe that can be your next bike? 😁
@BareBonesMotorcycles3 жыл бұрын
Glad you liked it, yea i was pretty pleased with how the exhaust came out. Its always a bit of a worry after putting in all that time, that when you start it up it sounds naff. How did your nighthawk build go? The kz would make a real nice cafe racer, but ive already got the next bike waiting to roll into the workshop. Thanks for the support. 👍
@shanewright42403 жыл бұрын
@@BareBonesMotorcycles the nighthawk turned out real well. I'd send you some pics but not sure how. It has an old school tank and we did a satin black colour scheme on the guards and tank with red central pin striping. Looks great. Diy dash from carbon fibre which is a bit spesh.

Rich - your eyes must be square after going through all that footage. A great compilation edit. What will happen with that bike once it’s ready for the road?

Nice job! Just started on my cb250-80, what tyre size did you put on it? 😃
@BareBonesMotorcycles3 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks very much, the tyres were a pain to find a nice looking set that fitted the existing wheels, i cant remember of the top of my head what they where, but its covered in on of the early videos on the build. Within the first 3 or 4 videos. Good luck with your build.

Do you need to replace the Forks in order to accommodate a wheel with Disc Brakes? Hoping to covert mine without too much effort, hoping I can just toss a new wheel on.
@BareBonesMotorcycles Жыл бұрын
No, thats a standard ftont end. 👍

@@BareBonesMotorcycles dang yeah I'm an idiot; since leaving this comment I've been scrolling forums and discovered that some markets after a certain year got discs. I also watched the First Episode of this series after finding this time-lapse, and feel like an absolute idiot for not noticing the Discs were on the entire time😭😭 Yesterday my buddy and I snagged a '91 AND '94 for $600 for both haha (no title, yikes) and both have drums on both wheels. I haven't ridden drums since my first bike (92 GS500) and to be fully honest they terrify me. Looking at conversions, but I think I might just do a wheel swap and djankily mount a caliper somehow via the axle nut? No clue, I'll find out on my next day off haha Thanks for the response, this started VERY clean (compared to mine) and ends GORGEOUS.
@BareBonesMotorcycles Жыл бұрын
@@wizardmoto ah thanks very much, glad you liked it. You may be able to just put a later front end on. The bearings are probably the same for the headstock. Or just replace the forks and keep the yokes if the tube size is the same.

Not a full on parts list, but most of the bought in parts are linked in the episodes they are fitted it.

How much would you charge for the same muffler you did
@BareBonesMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
Thats a good question, to be honest, ive no idea, id have to work out the material costs and time to make it. Probably in the the realms of £200 - £250
@mastershake42092 жыл бұрын
Dude if I sent you cash I’d definitely be lit 🔥
@BareBonesMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
The difficult bit would be making sure it fits your bike, i made my own mounts on mine, and the exhaust was built on the bike. So without having your bike to match it too, it would be finger in the air if it would fit or not.
@mastershake42092 жыл бұрын
@@BareBonesMotorcycles I think 88 too 94 on the night hawk 250s work
