To join the truly OCD club you have to line up the screw and bolt heads, too. Your membership is on hold. Very tidy though. What handguards are they? Summer's coming. That first scrape of peg on ashfelt iand the first weekend when every garden smells of barbecues is nearly here. Nice tool kit. Happy travels 👍

Getting into our winter here in NZ. Every winter I get tempted to get an adventure/ tourer like a tiger or gs for some comfort and weather protection, but when summer rolls around I'm glad I didn't. Cant wait for your summer tours and comic ramblings. Keep up the good work Andy

Hey, Andy: Remember that time (I think it was in Northern England or Scotland) when you tipped your bike over into a ditch? I can sooo empathize with that now. Exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday.

@@AndyManCam The slope of the ditch made it impossible to get it upright by myself, but a group of bikers came along and helped. (2009 Versys 650). Givi windscreen snapped in half, upper righthand cowling broken, frame tabs that support windscreen brackets bent. Got the frame tabs straightened, windscreen and cowling on order.

Oh yeah, buddy! Your place looks really calm and pretty, I’m happy for you. I’m glad to hear that you’ve worked out the ergos on the Honda. I remember you saying that you were thinking of selling it because it was getting so uncomfortable.

It is FAR more relaxing there than the old place! I’m still working on the ergos a bit. The new shock has jacked the rear up a bit and put the weight back on the wrists. 🤦🏻‍♂️ But when i get the preload right, I’m sure it’ll be grand again.

With those cool mirrors, if the bike is dropped (god forbid), I'd guess you are willing to write off one of them off in exchange for the cooler look AND the better view?

Definitely. That’s sadly a risk that needs to be made in the name of looking good! 😉 The bar end weights do also offer some protection though. I dropped my FZ1 a couple of times and only scratched the paint on the mirrors.

@@AndyManCam Yeah. I ended up getting endbar mirrors too, since I posted the post above. And, I can see better for sure with them. I had to move my elbows to see with the stock mirrors and that is annoying.

VERY annoying!! Crazy that they’ve smashed so much money into launch control, electronically adjustable suspension, radar cruise control and all the other things that NO biker really needs, but they can’t get mirrors and mirror positioning right!! 😂

Had over 20 degrees this week here in The Netherlands (Zeeland). Was so lovely. Am riding daily with my Africa Twin to work, get the groceries and go to the stables to take care of my horse. Your ear allowing you to ride again?

It’s great isn’t it! I wore the heated stuff to work and didn’t even need to plug it in! Yeah I’ve been out a couple of times cheers. It’s a bit sensitive, so longer rides aren’t quite there yet!

My bike is now also in summer trim, just removed the heated grips and put the originals back on with hairspray, it lubes then fixes the grips a lot better tthan spit 😂

Thanks for posting. Never thought of switching bike hardware between the winter/summer months. I assume you don't have grip warmers? How do you like the bar end mirrors vs the standard mirrors? Meaning, which of the two is more functional?

My pleasure! I’m such a wimp that without the guards I’d not have been able to keep my digits warm in the winter. Plus my oxford heated grips packed up before it even really got cold! 🤦🏻‍♂️ I prefer the barend mirrors both because i think they look way better but also because they’re much further outwards so there’s no elbow in my rear view!

@@AndyManCam Don't blame about trying to keep your hands warm during the winter. Looks like I am wimpier than you, since I keep my hand guards on year round. Mostly because it can get chilly while riding in the mountains, but also for protection against the rain (not that it rains much here)

The MT10 is a bit of a weapon and apparently the fuelling is improved no end. Maybe if they’d brought that model along 2 years earlier I’d have considered it. As it stands finances and earning potential (plus i like it) mean the Honda is staying for a while yet!

Moved here from Fla where every thing used to bite me I lived way out in the Boonies, the Skeeters, Yellow flies, Deer flies, Horse flies, Sand flies would bite the top half of me and Fire ants would attack my legs. No love bugs either.
