Not trying to sound negative or what, but most Americans when they're lead singing the National Anthem they turn it into a performance/show with all those high notes etc. As a result, there's no coordination with the crowd. There's no need for high notes and spicing it up...you're defeating the purpose by doing so. The National Anthem hits deep on its raw form.

So here's another interesting observation on how the anthem has been arranged in terms of it's languages, firstly, the Xhosa, Sotho and Zulu verses speak of our relation to and dependence on God, the one who created everything and on who's foundations our nation stands, its a petition to Him to bless and protect the nation, that's first and foremost, secondly the Afrikaans part then flows from that and shifts the focus to our relationship to the land that He (God) gave us, it speaks of our majestic mountains and etc, and lastly the English part ties it all together, it highlights our relation to each other in all our diversity as a united people making up the nation of South Afrika. Quite idealistic and inspiring..That being said, we appreciate the dope reaction🔥 a shout out to yall from South Afrika!

I am Not South African, but I lived next door to the country for 38 years.. Now I cannot help but feel emotional when I hear "N'Kosi Sikilele Africa" especially when sung by the "Boks" prior to a match..! I think it is especially significant given the countries deeply divided history that, the THREE Main languages spoken in the country are included, opening with the indigenous verses before switching to Afrikaans and finally the crescendo in English...! Seeing "Springbok" Captain Siya Kolisi sing the words "Freedom" with such passion, really epitomises the whole South African ethos and is why the "Boks" are such a force to be reckoned with on the worlds' sporting stage..!!

Our anthem is a straight-up prayer bru. You will be amazed at how often these huge rugby players break out in tears before an international game, especially on debut.
