I quit smoking very very easily. I kept saying an affirmation hundreds of times (each time as below) for a couple of days. Soon I found not smoking became my habit. In the first place it was your willingness to smoke, so there was no resistance. Similarly there can not be any resistance to quit smoking. Smoking is a habit, similarly not smoking is a habit too. Now one has to choose which habit to have especially for one's wellness. Affirmation (in all caps) 👇 I LOVE MYSELF MORE THAN I LOVE SMOKING (later one may add more & more instead of once if required). People who have self love issues then one may affirm I LOVE MY HEALTH MORE THAN I LOVE SMOKING. Good or better health is always appreciated by one and all. Remember, it's all in the mind...!

I failed after 66 days of no smoke, I still went back to it after mingling with a friend that smokes which I tasted it and since then I’ve not been able to quit. I now have this panic mind that makes it difficult to quit and also am a loner, which makes it hard for a loner to quit . Pray for us that are genuinely tired of smoking 😭😭. I am ready to start again.

I think it's great you managed 66 days. We just have to pick up again, it's ok 👍 How are you doing now? I'm trying to be less of a loner. It's definitely harder to stop smoking when you spend so much time on your own. I actually have only stopped for 3 days and found the Time to do so many things which I apparently don't have time for ever, when I smoke. Wishing you all the best!

I guess it's one of those things now. I'd say I am quite committed to staying quit. The opportunity to buy cigarettes or ask off someone has been everywhere, more than you realize while smoking. I am currently going into my 3rd day without smoking. It has indeed been quite difficult. i initially quit because I could not afford to get any cigarettes, but after deciding to. I truly felt it was something i've been wanting to for years. I had been reading a lot of articles about how to quit, and they all share one thing in common: "avoid triggers" this can be quite difficult for heavy smokers (especially those who chain smoke) basically everything is a trigger for me, waking up , want to smoke, get something to it. want to smoke, driving, socializing, i'm bored you name it. that will be the true challenge is making it so that i no longer think of smoking when doing these things.

I’m watching these videos over and over again… I’m trying so hard to change my smoking habits. Went from 20 cigarettes a day to 12 cigarettes to 6 cigarettes. Need to stop smoking. This is the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do. I smoke unconsciously, difficult to break something that I do unconsciously, it’s so automatic. I want to live a longer life. My mom has asthma, emphysema, COPD. She is only 60 years old and she is bedridden. I don’t want to end up like her. I know I will if I don’t stop soon. I already wheeze, and cough up mucus, difficult to breathe at times. I want a life free of nicotine. More than anything. Wish I never started smoking, worst decision I’ve ever made! I wish I could be locked in a room for a week, just to get past the withdrawals.

Every time I try to quit smoking, I usually tell myself that let me just do one more. That one more becomes six to ten. And it usually seems like I am improving in numbers. It hurts my lungs because I can feel it and the guilt comes back and I have to add one more cigarette to calm it down again. I feel bad and mostly regrets why I started smoking. It has become ingrained in many things that I do. I can't walk without smoking, I can't watch a movie, read or write without them. But from the video it has really enlightened me on my smoking patterns and the commitment I have to put in. So am writing this comment to thank the creator of this masterpiece and also as a reminder to the commitment I am willing to take.

I can attest to the rewiring your brain part. I started to change the pattern, and in a month I went from 4 packs per day to 1/2 a pack. A little at a time. wait 5 more minutes, go for a walk, wait an hour in the morning, none two hours before bed, etc. My quit day is next week, and I think I will make it this time. I have smoked for 51 years! I can also attest to the hypnosis thing. Tried it twice, then went to school to learn self hypnosis, etc. none of it worked. neither did the patch, chantex, antidepressants, vaping, etc. I then realized that it isn't the method I needed to change, but I needed to change my mind. That appears to be working. And booze? that is the ultimate "quitter gitter". Good luck, everyone!

I couldn't take it anymore. But now that I know that can last up to 90 days, I will shortly try again. 52 years of smoking has a lot to do with this, as I don't recall taking a real breath. I don't remember what healthy means. But I NEED to fix this! so I will try again. Keep the faith!

Thank you very much for this information, it has been the most helpful of anything I've heard,, I'm on 12 days no cigarettes and it is going much easier than I expected,, smoked for 45 yrs and just had enough of it,, I am sure i will never smoke again but that doesn't mean it has to be hard to do,, your videos are exactly what i need and the mental addiction is very true,, one thing i do is i keep an empty pack of cigarettes in my pocket, but it has gum, candy, toothpicks and straws in it instead of cigarettes,, that way i get the feel of everything is the same but not the health risk,, a big part of smoking for me was seeing the cigarettes and then "needing" one, this way when I get the urge for a cigarette I grab the pack and take out a piece of gum or candy but not a cigarette and it's only partly frustrating,, it helps and I feel like I succeeded in not smoking another cigarette

Was it just me or was it actually incredibly easy? I vaped HEAVY for 8 years (you get tons more nicotine each day with vaping compared to cigarettes), then switched to a heavy amount of nicotine pouches (zyn, on, etc) then I just stopped one night. Didn’t even feel any withdrawals, maybe some added irritability and some cravings here and there, but my baseline is angry and depressed. Honestly the loneliness I feel every moment of every day is worse than quitting any substance addiction I’ve ever had. (Benzos, alcohol, weed, adderall, caffeine, nicotine) I think other people’s brain power is just severely lacking. Adderall is probably the singlehanded most challenging to quit using. As with cold turkey, your an absolute zombie for the next 2 or 3 months trying to just drag your foot one step in front of the other to suffer through the day. Nicotine is easy to stop. But I have to remind myself I’m not a normal person, and my brain has been hardened from the start. Hope this gives someone some motivation, as there are much much harder things to stop using than cigarettes or vaping. It all comes down to your will and discipline and desire to stop

I just started and what has really helped so far is I never smoked inside my house, so I am used to sitting on the couch with coffee and not smoking. But I do enjoy sitting on the porch in the morning with coffee and smoke. I did get a box of nicotine gum to help.

Thank You; thus far; I'm hooked on your vlogs; I cut out the alcohol; but yet my sidekick El Cigarette is wreaking havoc in my life because I recently started running, and I came up with a motto; that runners don't smoke; period; but yet I have been consistent with my fitness routine; and how much my running would improve; it I detach from unhealthy habits such as smoking; thank you for helping me to comprehend withdrawals; so yes, I believe I can do it!!!

You know that feeling you have after having a cigarette, that is what not smoking is. Smoking should be a distraction because you're always thinking about your next cigarette

Thanks so much for this video and the work you put into this content. Very clear and well spoken. I’ve been smoking since I was 17 (28 now) and totally relate to it being apart of my identity, something I picked up to fit in and rebel. What you say about the mental programming is huge. Less focus on the physical craving and more focus on rewriting the narrative is going to be the key to success!
