Maybe she SMELLed and they were trying to be polite at the restaurant not telling her that. Thos is why they do try to exclude "athletic wear". They already played this but they used a young boy then.

It is the restaurant's definition of business casual. They are allowed to define their expectations of business casual. The restaurant just needs to be sure to word what is not allowed specifically and stick to it. They have issue with athletic wear not shorts or backless tops, they can do that.

More information is needed folks to give better informed opinions. What exactly is the dress code and How is it worded? Next question is where is the dress code displayed, how many places can this dress code be found especially BEFORE entering the restaurant. Is it on their website and front door? Once inside it should be displayed again at the host stand.

I wouldn't want to even dine at a restaurant that imposes a dress code. I find them to be very elitist. I understand denying people with no shoes or being partially nude but the way of the world has changed in terms of how people dress and what they deem to be nice. We live in a society that operates on wanting to be comfortable so jeans and t-shirt are what people choose to wear when they are not at work. Why penalize someone who has the money to pay for their meal all because they wanted to be comfortable and not feel constricted in dress clothes. Dress codes are an easy and justifiable way to discriminate against people for things that may not have anything to do with their dress code.

Your premise is false. Many blk people would jump at the chance to help a white person be racist towards a blk person. Aye, many white folks know this to be true

@@blackreacher Nope. You're just delusional and can't accept that your outlook on the world is wrong. It's easier for you to try to convince the world that they're wrong rather than accepting that *you* are wrong.

Those blk people who would stoop so low, few are talented people who are connected, most are those who feel inferior to white folks, and to the blk person who they have targeted. Just so y'all know, we can see you

@Daniel Rice. The other patrons may have been dressed down but they were still within the dress code. The restaurant has the right to define what they consider business casual and it is no athletic wear.
