Oxygen isn't combustible. Oxygen aids in combustion. It is possible for an oxygen tank to rupture and cause catastrophic damage to an aircraft. Then any fire would be made worse with the concentrated oxygen.

Years ago i watched a show about air planes crashing and why, and there was an episode on Boeing and their planes. The flap would get stuck down, flying the plane straight into the ground. I doubt that's what this was, but it can happen. It still seems suspicious but that's the only explanation that I have seen proven, other than it getting hit by a missile or something else airborne

As cruel as it sounds, yes, it's "minor". So often, a smaller plane carrying 4,6, or 10 people crashes in a rural area, and it doesn't make the news outside the area where it happened. The difference here, of course, is that it happened in the 6th largest city in America, and depending on the amount of damage done on the ground, it could go from "minor" to "major" in a hurry.

Although disorientation is a technical possibility, given we are talking about an instrument rated pilot who presumably flies regularly and had just taken off, it seems very remote to me. I might put it higher on the list if we are talking about an amateur who got an instrument rating years ago and only flies a few times per year but not a professional regular flier. To me it seems more likely a catastrophic control surface failure (most likely rudder and / or elevator) or the control column was pushed forward and kept in that position by the pilot.

Less maintenance is obviously being done on airplanes and because so many they have very little time to spend per plane much like the issue with the railroad.
