My daughter was a Shriners patient in Spokane, Washington for 18 years. Shriners gave her the ability to walk and dance and move through life in a way that would not be or have been without them. Over the 18 years my daughter was treated, all the doctors and nurses were the same. Many patients and families met we’re internationals. Shriners does great good and charitable work! May the precious souls lost tonight rest in peace. May their families and all touched by this tragedy be comforted.

This weather guy has NO idea of what he's talking about. Overcast cloud conditions DID NOT cause this plane to DIVE straight out of the sky. Planes pass through cloud banks all the time when taking off. THAT doesn't disorient the pilots. Ridiculous "analysis." He just wanted to show off some graphics on his wall monitor. I've been a pilot for years and climbing through cloud cover as you're taking off doesn't cause you to SUDDENLY DIVE straight down to the ground. Ridiculous.

I’m in western North Carolina where some of the hardest hit areas after hurricane Helene are. Some of the first people we saw were Philadelphia Fire dept trucks and crews. I have nothing but respect for those men and women who risk their own lives to help others. Thank you Philadelphia, my prayers go out to you all in your time of tragedy.

Looking at the flightaware track made me think more of an aerodynamic stall, the aircraft was barely climbing at all before violently diving which looks very much like a loss of lift as I can't imagine a jet like the Lear would only be cleared to 1650 feet on climbing out over a populated area. I would imagine it would be required to make an expedited climb to well over 5,000 feet on noise abatement grounds...

Then I heard tv that a person who was on fire died. So there are a few stories of ppl being on fire, no idea how many tho. No great surprise, the aircraft impacted with a ground speed of 279 mph so the vertical speed must have been over 300 mph. That part of the fuselage with the access door was ahead of the wings, so it had likely been thrown clear before the fuel tanks were breached and the flash fire erupted. If you think that seems unlikely then find the footage of the Galloping Ghost crash at Reno Air Races, that hit the ground so fast that the fuel on board didn't have a chance to catch fire as all the metal had moved away by the time the fuel was released so there was nothing to create the necessary spark to start the fire.

@Rob774 No, they don't. They stopped carrying oxygen after investigation discovered the danger of explosion. Emergency oxygen is provided by a chemical reaction activated when the oxygen masks are lowered. Therefore, there's no oxygen on commercial jets.

my grandpa was a Shriners. i never quite understood what that meant. but i suppose he was involved in raising money for the Hospital. i just remember when he was going to an event, he wore a funny hat. IMO, O2 tank leak, wheels spark, fire, caught jet fuel then rocket blasted to the ground. They tried to get him to return & land. Sad.

There was a black guy being interviewed right after this accident. He was saying that this is crazy this week for all the aircraft accidents. He said that something is going on, and people are after us all…. He was a emotional wreck. That was some kind of assumption that someone or people are after him or us… what does that even mean. Unfortunately, accidents happen, some worse than others , but to get on live Tv and say something sinister is happening and Trump is at Fault somehow is WILD. Both incidents,are due to man made errors and mistakes, and probably fault in the airplane in this instance, but to make that statement was CRAZZZZZZY. He watches to much CNN

How devestating & heartbreaking it will be to the five families that have probably by now have been notified by this tragedy. My prayers go out to all of them. May our Heavenly Father comfort each & every one of them who are affected by this. I can just imagine that the family & friends of this little angel that had been affected by challenges at the beginning of her life & had conquered them, had likely had a celebration planned for she & her Momma's return. How horrible it will be to find out that they'll be planning two funerals in the coming days. I took a few minutes to look into the Shriner's website & it seems all the Shriner's locations in Mexico were Outpatient Clinics. There is a smaller airport in Springfield, MO & I'm guessing that was their next stop. I live about 30 miles wast of Springfield & we have Medic flights fly past our house, as the hospitals aren't close & it's not built up like suburbs or cities. My prayers also go out to those in Pennsylvania who saw this happen & those with property damages. If I remember correctly, no one below was injured or lost a life a life & that's a blessing. But my heart breaks for these families that have suffered loss.
