The lesson here is pay for your own housing. Projects move. People get priced out with high property taxes and maintenance costs too. At the end of the day you need to make enough money to pay your own way. If you depend on the government to support you, you will be "displaced." The original Bahamian property owners sold their properties, so those complaints featured in this video have no legal basis.

I love the Grove! I once lived in the Grove on Virginia Street. That being said, if you love the grove and if you had wanted to be and stay a part of the Grove, you must invest in that neighborhood by purchasing a home or lot. So if gentrification were to occur, you would have a say about what occurred there. If you chose not to own, then is it really your neighborhood?

The traffic is already bad enough in Florida, if they make dedicated bike lanes then they will just take away regular traffic lanes to make the new bike lanes which will make traffic worse. Just use your bikes on the sidewalks.

Affordable prices in Miami 🤣 Then if it’s not affordable it’s racist. When developers come in, they tear down and 1950’s condemned shack and build multi million dollar housing it now becomes unaffordable. I understand you feel that being pushed out of your home sucks, but you are not the only ones in Florida. We are changing into new California and no one cares about you. I would love to live in Aspen, guess what…I can’t afford it. My suggestion is to move to North Florida or South Georgia. Very much affordable. Make that your new home. We can no longer expect Florida to help. They want money here.
