I believe that if the NCIS: Red team have guest starred on the original NCIS series instead of NCIS: Los Angeles, than they would have a good opportunity in getting their own spin-off show. That's what the NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans teams did when the the characters were introduced in the original NCIS series.

Looks like part of the kitchen used in the mobile base was used when Kensi was sent to Afghanistan, episode "Merry Evasion". Definitely the same refrigerator!

I wish the NCIS Red Team got their own spin off. Looking back, I liked this two-parter a lot; their mobile HQ, though a little spartan, is cool enough.

If CBS won't give us NCIS Red, I'll be just fine if somebody convinces the cast to reunite for a new project - TV show or video game - with a similar premise. As an NCIS fan, I'm very disappointed that CBS wasted such potential.
