We lost Sue Johanson last summer at 92 & now Dr. Ruth at 96. It's the end of an era. Rest In Pleasure.

My friends and I would stay up late Sun nights and listen to her radio show. For us middle schoolers, it was for fun and funny...now that she has passed, and I'm 50, I can truly appreciate hers as a life well lived. Rest In Pleasure, Dr Ruth. You will so be missed and thank you! 🥰❤️😭

I listened to her every sunday night and it was good because my parents never talked about sex with me! But also because i liked her personality. I am the same age as you, too!

I remember being a kid watching her on tv. Looking back I can't believe my mom let me watch her at such a young age. Ironically, just a few days ago I asked myself "I wonder of Dr. Ruth is still alive?" I guess we all know the answer. R.I.P. Dr. Ruth Westheimer

I saw a notification of her first appearance on Johnny Carson a little while ago. This second one makes me sad because I'm assuming she has passed away. I hope she can be reunited with her husband & Rest In Pleasure.

A treasure. I recall watching her on some late night talk shows. Her utter frankness would often make the male hosts very uncomfortable.

I remember her show on Sunday nights. I was in college and all you could hear throughout the dorms was her voice. What a great time to be alive.

RIP Dr. Ruth thank you for teaching us all Sex in not dirty and it's Natural but also be responsible for one's own heath reasons and safety for one's own Mind, body, and Spiritual well being while practicing good sex alone or with a consenting partner. Also, your the tops lady, your life and times here were just like a beautiful flower that was budded on earth to bloom in the heavens. And, yes Hitler lost because of your beautiful soul that left a life time of happiness and health wellness by sharing of your knowledge and wisdom with the living world.🌹

HOW I LOVE MY DOCTOR RUTH FROM GERMANY. . I was a flight attendent and she has been in our first class cabin. She saw my German flag on my uniform. And she said Oh du bist deutsch so gebe mir sofort ein champagne.

She kind of reminds me of my Jewish grandmother, though her accent was British, and I think she made it to five feet tall.

From the archives: Sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer 0053am 14.7.24 as much as she dumbfounded the public with her topic of chit chat, i still refer to the sam kinson skit when i am confronted with her visage or hear her voice...... erm.................there seems to be a lot of solitary folks out there - whether men or women. you'd think they would have realised this and gotten it together thus erasing the need for this sage advice. p.s the sam kinison skit was amusing as was dr ruth 9irrespectve of how you found her delivery or choice of chit chat)...
