Dave doesn't enough credit for his role in Nirvana's success. Whenever people talk about them it's always all about Kurt and they forget that Nirvana went through several drummers first and didn't have much success until they settled on Dave. With the loud guitars and Kurt's screaming vocals they needed someone who could really wail on the drums and nobody hits 'em harder than Dave. By the way, not a knock on Kurt, he was great but so is Dave. Also Krist was too.

Nirvana would be a footnote without Dave. Listen to Nevermind - the drums were critical and not replacable.

True, when it comes to talking about Nirvana, Dave gives lots and lots of credit to everyone else in the band, usually not taking much credit for himself.

A minor footnote here: The drum lines on Nevermind were already written by Chad Channing when Dave started with the band. Yes, Dave played drums on the album and did a fantastic job, but the songs were already written.

To me, Foo Fighters represents overcoming depression. Something truly terrible happened, yet Dave fought to live his best life and created foo fighters.

Dave is a true icon. Incredible musician and incredible person. No drug problems, no alcohol problems. Not to mention he’s worth $320 million and you’d never know it. A great role model and a legend.

This just hit me so hard after losing Taylor a few days ago. I myself growing up was a huge Nirvana fan, which made me appreciate the foofightahs but wasn't heavy in to them. But like Grohl at heart I am and will always be a drummer and percussionist but because music has been a huge part of my world I'll find a way to jam , and like Taylor I'm an addict that's almost died too many times who's in the good fight now 6 years sober He really deserves appreciation because like addicts drummers tend to get overlooked at times but most bands can't be or do w out them. Just like Addicts need to use just to feel normal and not get sick when it turns from using now and then to a real habit. You would think that at this time in the world the problem would be taken as serious as any other disease. Stigma is part responsible for this lack of care and or understanding. As COVD became the big deal media stopped bringing attention to the pandemic of addiction where more people have been dying because of this lack of empathy and compassion. It's sad all I want is to raise awareness about how hard it is to play normal when your live revolves around addiction and for society to understand these are real people so help to treat these real problems. Rip Tay.

Your always welcome Home Dave. You Already know. Ive had experiences of meeting Dave Grohl and Dave Mathews in Seattle. Surprisingly both at QFC. Both times all I could think was "Don't Be Weird. Treat'em normal.

RIP Taylor. Man I was such a huge fan of Taylor for both his drumming but mainly because of his personality being so damn positive. Other drummers probably couldn’t deal with being the drummer of the band led by the drummer of the most famous band ever in Nirvana yet because of his personality Taylor outshined all that noise and became one of the most well known drummers of all time which most bands have drummers the general public can’t name yet Taylor is clearly the heart of the foo fighters being in almost every interview for the band along with grohl. I know drugs were involved but it just seems odd as he didn’t seem like a drug abuser which I read he stopped and became more safe about it all after his accidental OD. Just pray for his family and friends. Gone way too soon but will forever be remembered for his amazing artistry and personality

Nick Hawthorne ...hair colour isn't influenced by the age. You can see very young people with coloured hair because they are grey or white. At the opposite there are adults and old people with their original hair colour. Dave is lucky however...he's beautiful and natural ❤❤❤

I never appreciated the Foo Fighters’ music until I got older. I was a teen in the 90s and I guess I was accustomed to all the dark and heavy rock that was so prevalent then, and then here comes Dave with his beautiful view from the other side and I don’t think I knew how to take it at the time. But as the years have passed, those other bands have mostly disappeared, the singers are dead, and I still love that music, but I hear the FF now and it just makes me smile. Dave was what we all needed at the time, whether we knew it or not, as we were becoming adults and still needed music to enrich our lives. I’m so grateful that he never gave up and blessed us with his gifts all these years.
