An amazing story; I can certainly relate. My work was in electrochemistry, helping develop the emergency power supply for the command module, exciting, exhausting and daunting timelines. I re-launched my science career to teaching HS chemistry and proud to say launched many kids into science careers of their own. Great Joy!

I wish society would get rid of labels. There is no such thing as a "blue collar" or "lower" job title, there are millions of people everyday who work hard and contribute to our society in different, important ways. No job is better than another and there is honor in hard, honest day's work. In a world that has so called white collar jobs or positions of power who are taking advantage of their positions doing unscrupulous things. Or Congress, who are incapable of representing us by working effectively together, I will take this caliber of a great man, no matter what his job is, ANY day! Thank goodness for Maury, my dearly departed dad and other great men who act honorably every day.
