But then, my aunt tolerated my mother, barely got along with my grandmother, and called my sister a disgrace to the family. This woman I'm talking about is my dad's baby sister. Now, she adored her daughter but verbally castrated her son, similar to what Evelyn does to Charlie and Alan.

She always blamed both Alan and Herb for her failed marriages when she was the main responsible of never working out her personal issues. At the end even her son Jake admitted that his father wasn't the bad guy afterall she put him through. I always wanted Judith to pay for all the awful things she did to Alan she deserved to be punished or at least suffered a little karma for everything she had done. I still wondered what he saw in her I'm pretty sure if he married someone else that woman will treat him so much better with love and respect.

Most ex wives are. Here in Canada, they get 50% assets PLUS alimony. Here’s the kicker the girls don’t even need the guy to marry them. Here in dorkland aka Canada, they have a law called “common law wife” which means if the girl stays in your house with you for 6 Months, they are your common law wife and gets half of your assets in a divorce.

I have a friend who married a total nightmare - no idea what compelled him to do it. Got a divorce a few years later but the kids will last a lifetime. Not only that the therapist payments will last a lifetime as well. The kids she literally had to get out of the air force are a little messed up. When she realized she hated the mother job she joined up with the airforce again!
