Great video. I love mine, Cafe Racer, done loads of miles, they are for riding. The electrics are poor but the rest is epic. Rear tyre lasts about 1800 miles, on my third. My frame was done, mine is an early one. My exhausts have ground out, needs better ground clearance for the Cafe version. Im near Colchester. I love the rawness, lack of rider aids and weight.

Krazy Horse at Bury St Edmunds are dealers. Closer than Bolton. I'm in West Norfolk/North Cambs if you fancy a ride over. I'm thinking of getting a CCM in the future. Don't have a bike at the moment but have been riding on and off since 1977

Yes possibly would have rode over there for a service but mine is now sold. Would highly recommend you test ride one.

when i tested one = looked and sounded lovely, good handling. didn’t like the gears cause i couldn’t feel if it had changed through my boot. the bike felt too light to me. which made it feel a bit unstable at times. probably would have got used up that. (i have a Triumph Bobber) and the indicators are useless. we had a chap leading us on the ride and he had to use his arms to indicate cause you really couldn’t see from his lights where or when he was indicating. they are expensive as well. as expensive as the Triumph that feels super solid and grounded. hmm. having said that i would def have one if i was loaded as a second/third bike. so pretty.

They definitely take some getting used to riding, I didn’t keep mine for long but definitely enjoyed the experience and ownership. Cheers.

Aye up Jake good to see you out again never seen a CCM in the flesh but their is one in a local dealership near to me I have noticed, so I will have to get along and take a good look , I reckon Marmite covers it 😉and I don't mind a bit of Marmite from time to time . Will you be tucking your Spitfire up for the winter and if so what would your program be to do that ? as in do you drain the tank or leave fuel in and fire it up from time to time etc I am interested to know .Well done as always 👌👍.

You’ll definitely have to have a look at one and see what you think. Also I’ll hopefully get out occasionally though the winter Malcolm if weather permits. I’ve previously done a winter storage Video a while back if you fancy a watch. Cheers 👍

Some interesting thoughts, thanks for the video. I was wondering why you keep the air filter cover in your pocket? Do you notice any drop off in performance or fuel consumption? I just leave mine in place, perhaps I should see how it goes with out!

Your welcome! I’ve never rode with it on, it’s in my pocket just in case I get caught out in the rain. That’s an interesting comment though 👍

@@RiderReviews Ah, OK. I'll take it off, see how it goes at the weekend (forecast is looking good!) and report back 😊

@@RiderReviews Apologies, I forgot to report back about removing the air filter rain sock last weekend... so the bike is very slightly more responsive without the cover, but now needs a little cold start lever to start, and idle initially, where as with the cover it would start from cold and run with out using the cold start. No surprises then, like you, I'll keep the cover in my pocket!

@@Eammim No worries mate…thanks for the info! Yes probably a good idea just to keep it in your pocket to avoid getting caught out in the rain. Thanks again 👍
