I met Mark and his family when I was a Liberty student in the 80s. His mom and dad and another family were our “ dorm parents “ They served us so sweetly. I have followed Mark all these years and he probably doesn’t remember me but he’s awesome! This was a great interview ! I have seen Chonda a a few times and she is amazing as well. Thank God for these people for filling our lives with worthwhile entertainment and substance. 💁🏻💕

About a year after my youngest daughter was killed in a car accident, I was asked to minister to a young mother who's 19 year old son (we go to the same Pentecostal Church) took his own life and she was the one who found him. As much as my heart was so broken from my own precious daughter's death (she was only 22, 2 weeks after she turned 22 when her life was taken from her) I couldn't not IMAGINE the hurt and agony this mother was going through, my heart ACHED for her. I did talked to her, held her so close to my heart without being able to say a word to her, just stood there holding her and praying silently for her. I know that my daughter is celebrating her LIFE in the presence of THE LORD, and no matter what I say to this mother, in her heart she has this question no one could answer except GOD. So I prayed for the LORD to reveal to her and comfort her in her pain, cause no matter what people say TIME DOESN'T HEAL THE WOUND of a mother's heart when her child is taken from her, parents supposed to go before the children. MY heart aches for every tormented soul, parents and children. Kids who are bullied (I was bullied most of my life) the pain is REAL, they just need to know that JESUS LOVES US ALL no matter what we've done, color of our skin etc, etc. Thank you Chonda and Mark y'all are awesome.

When I'm laughing listening to their stories it's amazing how just for that little bit the pain takes a back seat.... I'm so thankful they are doing what God called them to do..

They do make a pair. 😁 Two of my favorite funny people. It always blows my mind that someone like Mark, who is just naturally funny and outrageous, wrote the second best song ever written. Amazing Grace is still no.1, but "Mary Did You Know" makes the miracle of Jesus becoming a man, more real than anything.

Having had Mrs. Lowry in class at college, and having laughed so hard at Chonda when she was on tour (possibly her first?) doing the "Second Row, Piano Side" routine at the same college...and continuing to listen to the both of them since...they feel like family to me. I have been truly blessed by both of their hearts and gifts of comedy (and music) and pray that the Lord continues to bless both of them as they pour His love and grace out on others.

I think what he said about suicide was brilliant. I have thought about and actually planned my suicide a long time ago due to being raped at 17 years old. What stopped me wasn't the fear of death. What stopped me was being afraid of going to Hell. I got saved at 7 years of age. I was thinking about one of the 10 Commandments. THOU SHALL NOT KILL. If you kill yourself, you are breaking that commandment. So, I didn't do it. Since then I've been on anti-depressants. I've also come to realize, with age, 48 years old now, that suicide is a mental illness. You can't be in a normal state of mind to commit suicide. So if someone is saved and kills themselves, I believe they will still go to Heaven. Their heavenly reward will be diminished though. That's just my opinion. It in no way means a person should commit suicide. I believe, and hope, the person would seek out medical help as I did.

TootsiesCreationz I agree, the thought of going to Heaven "prematurely" and seeing The Saviors sad eyes gives me shivers. I'd much rather see "happy eyes" and hearing "WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, WELCOME INTO THE JOY OF MY REST"
@franksloane95794 жыл бұрын
I believe that to be true, that people who are not in their right mind won't be held accountable for that decision. But, there is one thing he said that I disagree with and I know to be true; you do choose when and how you leave this earth if you believe what the scriptures say. It is written, the power of life and death is in your tongue; meaning, what you say will determine what happens. The power of words is an incredible thing. Everything that exist was "spoken" into existence by God, and he gave that authority to man in the Garden of Eden, when he said have dominion. Many people have different doctrinal beliefs; but there is only one gospel, and it's the one Jesus preached and taught. Isaiah 61. God can free you from those thoughts from your past. You don't have to ever be depressed again. Those feelings are from the devil to keep you bound. I call you free from that spirit of darkness; tell the spirit to come out of you in the name of Jesus, and then just start thanking the Lord for your deliverance. Amen
@tootsiedawn20164 жыл бұрын
@@franksloane9579 thank you, I appreciate your prayers. I will never turn down prayers, there is never a time when life never could use the power of prayer! So I thank you again!
@frankG3352 жыл бұрын
@@franksloane9579 You can't ignore the physical, the chemical. To say it's so simple as to simply speak a magic formula and "make it all better" is insulting. People struggle for years with these issues and for you to glibly pass it off as a simple matter of speaking something into existence is downright cruel. You clearly have no understanding of what happens when the brain doesn't produce or hold on to enough serotonin, and no clue about chemical imbalances due to DNA. But still, you feel free to denigrate people with real, serious, PHYSICAL ISSUES! STOP IT. You don't know the depth and breadth of your own ignorance. You sound like you're in your 20s and life hasn't kicked you in the butt yet. Notice how half the people on the tour bus are in anti-depressants? And have you noticed how unvaccinated people who get Covid have horrific 2 or 3 month deaths no matter how many heroics are thrown at them, because they refused a vaccine, that's been tested by millions and millions of people? This is called "testing the Lord". When God sends a way to help you - from anti-depressants to a covid vaccine, He is giving you a practical answer but you insist on a magical one. It's like a man stranded on a sandbar as the water rises and the storm get scarier and more dangerous. He cries out to God, "Save me!" So God sends a rescue boat, but the man refuses their help. "GOD WILL SAVE ME!", He cries. Another boat and a helicopter come but he sends them away. Finally, he is swept to his death, and asbhe is drowning he angrily confronts God, "Why didn't you save me?" Gid said, "I sent you 2 boats and a helicopter! What more did you want? Angels and trumpets?" This is the kind of magical thinking you're trying to impose and guilt onto people who are deeply depressed. This causes guilt, which adds to depression. Please don't comment on things you don't understand. There is NO SHAME IN GETTING HELP! IN FACT, IT TALES COURAGE!
