Much more instant response. Must be a really good remote set up. Thank you showing - not caused by a track fault.

Thank you for the nice comment Barry. Most re railing doesn't go nearly as smooth as this one did. Mr. Jerry did a fantastic job. Wood came from under ground, it happens but not very often. They have a magnet to catch metals coming out of the mine but nothing for wood as it is rather rare to occur. Really appreciate your taking the time to visit with us and may you have a very good day my friend.

@@ccrx6700 Hello Dave, So the wood was mixed in with the coal. from what I could see it looked like about3 to 4 inches in diameter. that is not all that big to cause a derailment of a rail car. is there tools to be able to clean out the coal between the rails? or is it done by hand? that branch must have fallen in such a way as to be angled across the track, and wedged in the material between the rails. great job Dave.

What amazed me is when you said Jerry was using the remote to drive the loco, I never thought you would get that fine control unless driving from the cab. Jerry must be real skilled. Sure glad the cause was found cos that would of bugged me too. I guess the wood came from a tie in the mine it looked like hard reddish colour wood. Great close view and explanation Dave. Dave want a problem being derail like that. With have odd things to take the wheels off the rail. Here is one fot you. I had a call back a few year's ago. A industry had a high cube boxcar derail in the building in the car well. It was on tangent track and it was pave too top of rail. The problem was the fork lift drive backed into a fileing cabinet on the top of the dock and it fell into the car well. The driver of the fork lift did know he did it. The track mobile drive just pulled the car out of the building and the car got on top of the fileing cabinet and the fileing cabinet derail that hi cube boxcar. What a mess in the building. Great job getting it back on dave.
