其实不管是port fuel injection (PFI)还是 Direct Fuel Injection (GDI) 喷出来的时候都是雾了的。之所以GDI要那么高的压力是因为压缩的时候气缸里头的压力很大,所以供油要那么高压力才能喷得进去。PFI的话普通都是4 bar (58 psi)左右因为就算是涡轮增压的引擎,还没进去气缸的压力也就1点多bar (20++ psi) 而已。压缩的时候气缸里头的压力随便就上可能到300 psi,所以那个供油要真的很有力才会进。不过自然,GDI的喷油嘴出来的油的粒子会更细一点,毕竟PFI都是来省钱的。 不过,讲解的还是不错的,简单容易明白。

May I know do you recommend doing walnut blasting after year 3 of owning the car? Mostly drove my M3 in city traffic conditions. I understand a direct injection engine will cause more carbon buildup, which will cause the fuel efficient and performance of the engine to deteriorate. Thanks for your input! :)

direct injection type got a problem in the long run - u need to clean up the intake valves, as carbon soots will build up and harden on the walls, affecting engine performance. Not saying just Mazda having this issue, all direct-injection type engines will have
Now i know why all my cx5 2.0 friends said cx5 2.0 got one problem only. Which is engine knock after 20k km they use. This is also y injector is given for free.

really. i own MZ3 for 2 years @ 35k km currently never have a knock issue
Never consider SkyActiv because of high pressure combustion n high direct injection; because it need precise mechanisms, therefore more wear/tear problems n more maintenance costs. Good when car is new but more problems as car get older.
