ive been using the paper gear lash set up since my first rc car. kyosho outrage ST mid 90's. works everytime never stripped a spur.

Paper does work. only one I've had issues with is the 3s arrma lineup since the spur/slipper assembly isn't locked in place when you set it.

CCxRC I just bought an Everest 10 and doing some work to it I just ordered the four wheel steering kit and a different motor for its thing has been fun to play with.

Do you think it is worth it to cut everything off of the parts trees and sort them by bag still so that you know where they are at?

No because most of the time they call for parts based on the tree and the by a number or letter where it is hung on that tree. I get out each tree I need for each step. I leave the parts on until called for so that I know where to find them.

Do you always run the Castle 1406 series in your SMT10’s? If so do the overheat? Looking at getting this same motor for mine but on castles website they say you should use a 1410.

Supnat1 is right. I use Blue Threadlocker.
