I have the 4 Priest tracks ranked the same as you. Ive actually kistened to the new Saxon about 5 times which is the most ive ever listened to one of their albums. I need ro check out that "They played rock n roll" song out if its about Motorhead! Solid Ball...was the tour i seen. They played absolutely dumps back then. Got to have been their lowest point for touring. Maryport Civic Hall. I mean god almighty it doesn't get any worse 😂. Maryport is 15 miles away from me and 15 times worse than Whitehaven.

Some reaction channels (btw) i can't stand, an idiot sat there with headphones nodding their heads lol compare it to Painkiller no you're right Screaming For Vengeance and Robs solo work. I honestly believe (and have since the 80s) that Lizzy Borden is one of the United States" very best heavy metal bands because all of the albums, besides the very latest, are 10 out of 10 efforts. Lizzy is also one of the strongest vocalists you will ever hear and I have seen them live several times throughout the years. I saw Loudness open for AC/DC once and had a ticket last year before the tour was canceled. I am trying to get Jim Florentine to play deeper Lizzy Borden cuts on his terrific Sirius weekly show on the Boneyard. Take care!

I love the new Priest song. We know they did some tricks in the studio for Rob’s vocals. He’s not really hitting the high notes live. He still does a fantastic job for his age, I’m going to Kk’Priest in a month. I’ll be seeing Priest in May for the 21st time.

I remember buying the Omen album back in the days only because of the great cover - I was 14 years old and I immediately felt in love with this wonderful artwork! 😊 That was the time when I started listening to more metal music. I still have the original CD „Escape to nowhere“ from this time in my collection and I‘m very proud of it. I’m turning 50 this summer and this is a contemporary witness of my life. Time flies. I´ve listened to half of Priest´s first single and ignored the rest of the pre-released songs but you know how I am, hahaha... The latest Saxon should be here early next week, looking forward to that one. I´ve only heard very good things about it. In 1992 I´ve seen the "Bombers & Eagles" tour, Motörhead dug out the old bomber and Saxon had the eagle, that was a fantastic night! For some reason Sodom always reissue the same albums... Hey Tom, where are the old classics??? I´m only missing "Tapping The Vein" on vinyl. He has promised me a rerelease already a decade ago. He has the tapes, the OG artwork and the rights. Where the heck is the reissue??? Hahahaha....

The singles Saxon box set is pretty Kool. It was also my second favourite album of 2018. Firepower was a great album but didn't make my top spot, that honour went to Striker. Although I don't own the new Saxon album yet I have listened to it on multiple occasions and it's brilliant. For me it's on par with Thunderbolt and alot better than Carpe diem. I was a little disappointed in their last album mainly due to how good Thunderbolt was. I haven't preordered the new Priest album as I can't find it on vinyl for a price I am willing to pay so may just grab the cd. I have always liked that Omen album art but have never the music on it. Sodom is a band I’ve been wanting to get into. Probably the next thrash band I’ll dive into. I like the few songs I’ve heard (Agent Orange, Body Parts, Nuclear Winter, and some others). For me, I haven’t gotten anything recently. Last pickup I got was a Static-X album. I’ll probably pick up the new Ministry album sometime when it comes out but my expectations are pretty low for the album to be honest.

Great update! Nice Saxon albums, would love to have those 7”. How would you compare the ”Music on vinyl” reissues to the ”Demon” ones released in the Eagles and dragons box a few years ago? I know some of the cover arts are a bit blurry on the Demon versions, but I think they sound great. Love and have those Loudness albums you mentioned, but my favourite is the one released a year before Thunder in the east, it’s called Disillusion. Can be difficult to find a good copy, but if you do just grab it! Take care Darcy!🤘

I compared my MOV versions to my Eagles & Dragons versions, no big difference to tell you about. I think both versions sound great, artwork a little better on the MOV versions. So all in all people will be happy that these are getting re-issued, that Eagles & Dragons set is hard find now & very pricey!
