How do nato bracelets hold up if you repeatedly get them wet?

I have just taken the nato strap off my 21 year old g shock. It was dirty as it's never been cleaned, apart from when perhaps swimming. Yes it came with a nato style strap, so its lasted 21 years, im going to put it on another watch. It's got wet many times over the 21 years, used for work, cycling and swimming. It was a G-2900V-2V

Yeah you took the bezel screws out by mistake eh? I have a g9100 gulfman I just put a nato strap on, and had an awful job getting the strap screws into the adapters. Worth it though! In my view all g shocks are more comfortable and look better with the nato straps.
