I truly love this way of assembling a cover. I've almost always done more "traditional" ways of making covers. Think I'm going to play along with this one. I've been collecting goodies and disassembling old books to do an Alice in Wonderland. Thank you for sharing your creativity.

A great base! ALEXANDRA M (another YT designer) uses the same idea for adhering fabric. She uses glue stick on the cover then irons her fabric on. That works too! Looking forward to your next installment. TFS Cori ❤

I love your work. I do have a question about this piece. Your base piece has 4.75 inch wings but you cut the inside side of the front and back cover pieces at 5 inches. Is there a reason for leaving that quarter inch gap. Note. I'm not talking about the shorter outside side. I fully understand that one

I cut the inner measurement to 5" so it rests in the seam of the spine base. I want that inner section to be flush with the fold. It just makes the journal smoother and it's easier to keep the cover straight. And, thank you 😊

I know, right? I've purchased many things since then but haven't seen this packaging again. It was an envelope/sleeve thing and I had ordered a pack of paper that came in it. I ordered the same paper again and it came in a different envelope.
