I am currently in search for a grinder for my Rocker Appartamento. My Breville Dose Control Pro definitely does not do justice to my machine. My options are: Baratza Vario, Baratza Sette 270w, Rocket Faustino, Ceado E37J. Do you think I should consider E37J or go for a more budget friendly model since my machine is not very high end either?

How much force is required to adjust the grind size with the grind regulating lever? It seems that I have to use excessive force even with the top burr assembly off (like you do at the 3:30 mark). To avoid having to send it in for servicing, should I just lube the threats with WD-40 Or some other oil?

I bought this grinder, from you actually, Agree with everything. Only issue is that grind retention in my case is about 4 to 5 grams. Bit of a waste of coffee when trying to single dose. Other than that I think it was a good choice. Perhaps I should have gotten the 83 mm burr model. Thx.
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada5 жыл бұрын
The 83mm version will have more retention because of the larger burr size there is more space for the coffee to remain. Ceado makes a single dose version of the E37 called the E37SD, I will post a video about this one soon.
@marottajoe5 жыл бұрын
@@iDrinkCoffeeCanada thanks very much for your kind reply I think I'll keep the one the one I have for now and just work around the retention issue. For your information whole latte love in the states did a comparison and the 83 mm chiado had a retention of about 2 grams as opposed to the one that I have which has about 5 grams retention just for your information

Hi I had a Mazzer Mini Manual, with a large grind retention, and I upgraded to the E37S with a grind retention of 0.5 gram, so I payed more than the E37J but I really wanted an upgrade from the Mazzer. I use the E37S as a single dose machine. The E37SD is again more expensive. My coffee lost a lot of bad aftertaste. With a Vibiemme Domobar.

don't know if u still have E37J. I have it about an year, and I figured out how to make the low retention, but only for single shoot, means grind around 18g each time, not using filled hopper. 1st, tilt the thin steel plat up a bit at chute, so no coffee is jammed at the exit point. 2nd, for me I grind 18g coffee each time, so after it's done, remove empty hopper, and put a folded towel on top of the grinder, and pat it few times while u keep the grinder running(grinding). those coffee remains in the chamber will be out after I pat that a little. by doing so, I manage to have retention about 0.1~0.5g for 18g beans.

How this Ceado grinder for GS3 Mp for Pressure Profile you know we need Grinds consistent and smooth.

The e37j produces a very nice grind in this price range. It's a mid level grinder though. If you want top end I would suggest looking at something like he E37s or E37sd or the Mahlkonig Peak

I would love this grinder but really don't like the look of the way the grind is adjusted. Why didn't they put the nice worm screw like the E37S?
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada2 жыл бұрын
It's likely a matter of cost, they wanted to keep the cost lower putting in the worm gear would bring the j too close in price to the s

Hi Slavek, compared to Eureka zenith 65t, would you recommend the E37J? Thanks!
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada5 жыл бұрын
Those two grinders are quite similar. I personally prefer the Eureka's adjustment but the Ceado is quieter which I also nice. They are both in the same class and direct competition for each other.
@ananthsm5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That’s helpful. Would you say the quality of grinds are similar too?
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada5 жыл бұрын
@@ananthsm yes I would, I haven't compared them side by side but generally I would say that with a similar burr size and speed the grind quality will be comparable

How are you getting 19 grams in less than 7 seconds with this E37J ? mine is doing 1,1g/second with medium and dark roast Could You Plees Provide The Kind Of Beans You Used For This Review? Unless you have special burrs in there or a doing this demo with a E37S i really can't see how the J can reach this flow " you need to seasoned the burrs'' to get a consistent flow of 2g a second and go through 10 to 15 pounds of beans first not really mine is getting even slower with the ''seasoning'' thing So People don't buy this mediocre grinder if you are seeking the 2g/s feature that it's supposed to accomplish .

I’m getting similar results as you (just over 1 gram per second). I can only assume this is not an espresso grind they are doing in the video. (The adjustment isn’t visible). I’m a bit disappointed in the grind consistency but it does seem well built and easy to clean. Out of interest, where is your grind set?
@zetareticulans4142 Жыл бұрын
@@LeafyGooner hi Christopher, i will check and let you know about the grind set. but And ye,s i am also disappointed with this grinder (g/s) . i am getting a rate a little higher now though .maybe 1.4 to 1.5 gram per second (depending on roast and freshness ) some say that it needs a break in period but i doubt that it will go from 1 to 2 gram per second. yes the pluses are the built quality and easy to clean. also easy to change the burrs. i will upgrade the burrs when needed. there are some burrs that are coated and made from harder steel that are better suited for the lighter roast apparently the stock burrs of this machine are not suitable for the "bigger" beans and lighter roast ( if you want to achieve the 2g/s). i drink light and medium roast only . cheers

I know it’s been 10 months since your review, but, how is it working for you? I’m hating my espresso, my shots are so inconsistent with the Breville smart grinder

I bought a Ceado E37J coffee grinder, immediately opened it to look at the burrs and saw chips on the cutting edges of the burrs, contacted Ceado and did not receive an answer, that is, the stated 3-year warranty does not work. I do not recommend this company's products.

How reliable? I want the” Toyota” of grinders not the “bmw”of grinders
@iDrinkCoffeeCanada4 жыл бұрын
Grinders as a category are quite reliable, there are not many issues. But if you are looking for the best reliability then Mazzer has a reputation earned over 70 plus years. Not taking anything away from Ceado because they make amazing and very reliable grinders but Mazzer is industry leading in reliability.
