Either they're only counting for 5 or, more likely, only the 24 blocks above the cloud platform were made to count because the player cannot realistically break the ones below? *Perhaps it's not that the scoring is inconsistent, but that there are multiple types of generic blocks: Those which yield points, and those which do not.* This means that they knowingly threw these awful point-yielding blocks to their deaths just to sabotage this kind of run, when they could've used the zero-point blocks instead! I don’t think so, that set of blocks are so inconsistent that the blocks that surround the star coin only grant points when the player breaks them, but not when the Bowser hand destroys them. However, the blocks below the cloud do grant points when the hand breaks them. You can see it by going frame by frame.

Holy fuzzy you are good! I love it when people try and find ways to change the way they play a game. There are so many different options! I’m currently routing the minimum number of MARIO Odyssey Specific moves possible to beat Mario Odyssey.
