This third video shows a particular way to perform both two cushions backrest and bottom seat. As mentioned in former video I have used 'burgundy color automotive leather'...perforated for central parts and plain for the sides.
This video shows the use of 'listing wires' and 'velcro material' on these kind of designs.
As we can see I have used 5 mm foam as backing material. The thin foam helps to 'add body' to the leather pieces; besides it helps to erase some irregularities on 'base foam'.
We should take into account a 5 mm foam does not alter the 'real measures we got on our patterns.
NOTICE: If I would have used a thicker backing foam, then our measures would be altered or affected someway...I am talking seriously about alterations of 3, 4 or 5 milimeters that mean a lot if we want a precise cover. This small video explains a little about it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=

Ya antes de estar finalizado, este asiento es una obra de arte, así que cuando ya esté acabado va a ser increíble!!! El color de la piel es una preciosidad... Tiene usted una increíble precisión, con esas curvas tan difíciles que ha tenido que hacer para adaptar el cuero y la scrim foam a la espuma del asiento... me quedo maravillado!! Estimado amigo, ¡Nuevamente le agradezco por apreciar estos videos! Poco a poco el 'asiento de cubo' se va transformando y tomando la forma deseada. Tengo listo el video parte 4 que se me hace muy interesante porque va a mostrar una manera de sacar el molde o plantilla para las partes laterales del asiento. Por supuesto, un solo lado, porque el otro opuesto es igual en este modelo. Esta interesante porque la superficie de esta parte, no es plana, sino que tiene partes redondeadas. Por tal motivo tuve que usar 'vinil estirable' para poder lograr el molde. ¡Siempre bienvenido a este canal!

Maestro, me encanta la idea del uso del velcro, como fue aplicado. estaremos pendiente del proximo video porque lo de en medio no es tan complicado como las partes laterales y esas curvas que corresponden al respaldo.

Las cintas de velcro se aplican en muchos diseños de tapicería en general. Por otro lado, aunque no parece, pero las partes laterales del asiento y espaldar serán más fáciles de hacer que los cojines centrales. Muchas gracias por ver este video.

Another Great video, and that is a awesome color leather. Here is a tip for you, If you grind the marks on your bobbin case a little deeper you can fill them with a bright colored paint. Making it a lot easier to judge your seam allowance.

I notice that you never glue the entire piece of leather to the foam, just the edges, and then edge stitch. Is there a reason that you don't glue fully? thanks. I love your videos. I am trying a similar pattern on some seats. I hope that is okay?!?

Sometimes the material, leather or vinyl has wrinkles or folds very difficult to erase. If I apply glue all over these imperfections appear on top surface. El material que se usa para las 'bolsitas' puede ser vinil muy delgado o tela de lona delgada que no se deshilachen sus orillas. Es el mismo material que se usa para las bolsitas que sostienen a los alambres de algunos techos de carro, por ejemplo los VW escarabajo.

Hola buenas noches profesor estoy reconstruyendo un vw 1998 y todo esto me da una idea más sencilla y práctica para hacer mis patrones porque pienso hacerlo en tres tonos negro rojo y blanco el blanco y el rojo en cuadrícula y el resto del asiento en negro desarme todos los asientos los marque los utilizaré para hacer mis patrones es muy bueno y practico el video gracias
