Karen Ian, Cash and I head out of the frozen tundra of Wyoming to head south for some warmth. Unfortunately it was cold there too. We camped at the Arch Canyon area, and hiked the Butler Wash interpretive site, and then got a permit to the Moon House Ruin. This is the coolest Ruin I've been to to date, with a security wall, a hallway, and a row of rooms with art and paint. I located the "Moon" in the painted stripe in one of the rooms.
This is a fairly technical hike compared to most ruin hikes so be prepared for some scrambling and "airy" portions of the trail .
The Moon House Ruin is a NO Pet Zone. I was Dealt with by the BLM Officer, so leave your pets in the vehicle. They are concerned about dogs digging up things at the ruin sites. Most sites allow dogs, this one doesn't. Cash is a very well behaved dog, and he didn't cause any issues, but there are no exceptions, and I am not making any excuses for my screwup.
Thanks for coming along. Please give a thumbs up, and subscribe!!!
