Cedar Point was the theme park of my youth. Our high school even took Senior trips there. The Gemini was the biggest wooden roller coaster in the world at one time.

I worked a summer there in 1990. It was a memorable time. You'd get paid minimum wage, but if you worked the contracted period, you'd get a bonus. There was one night a week that they let the staff enjoy the park after hours. Towards the end of the season, you worked double shifts.

Our family used to go to Cedar Point in the 1950s. They actually had covered parking back then. I remember the Breakers Hotel looking very much like the day it was built in 1905. Those Cedar Downs racing horses were moved from Euclid Beach Park to Cedar Point after Euclid Beach closed in 1965. Euclid Beach was the best park back in the 1950s. It had 4 roller coasters when I was there, one of which was the racing coasters. Our big thing back then was riding the monorail at Cedar Point which I assume is gone now. Although I must say the park looks much better than when I was last there.

I went to Ceder Point last year after watching your other CP vlog from last year. Got to ride the Top Fuel Dragster ride before it shut down! My favorite home park, went there recently last month for Millennium Force, Raptor, Steel Vegeanace, Gatekeeper, Valravn, without using double belts. Power Tower both sides, Blue Streak, Magnum XL, Maxair, Skyhawk, and everything else.

They changed Snake River Expedition this year. It no longer has the actors on the ride. It’s just a boat ride with the animatronics. It’s very much like Jungle Cruise now at the Disney parks. Also, it was most likely closed due to wind/weather. It’s usually open every day. I’m a season pass holder and live about 30 minutes away.

Omg I'm so glad you showed the train! The first time I ever went to Cedar Point was over 20 years ago when I was about 11 during the Halloween season and I remember seeing skeletons, but I couldn't find them again when I went back years later so I thought I imagined everything. Lol How cool! I remember being bummed when they closed the indoor roller coaster, though I definitely enjoyed the new ride they replaced it with.

I usually go to Cedar Point in June when I'm in Sandusky for Colossalcon at the nearby Kalahari Waterpark. This year I didn't go to CP even though the weather was great, but I'll return next year when they reopen the rethemed Top Thrill Dragster.

Schlitterbahn water park was an Ill fated water park in Missouri in the KC metro area. Their last operating season was 2018 following an incident involving a young boy who died due to laxed safety standards. So you couldn’t visit even if you wanted to. WOF is my closest amusement park and if you plan to visit I’d suggest during Halloween haunt

Its sad to see these parks closing down the attractions that older people may like and gearing the parks to just young people who like to ride roller coasters. The older people have the money. Someone needs to come up with a park for 50 and older just for us.
