Also the name of the kiddy ride without a fast lane line is Calypso. That is a fun ride. It was maybe an 8 minute wait in line.

Cedar Point without fast lane is just no fun to me. I even find fast lane to be useful at the low tier Cedar Fair parks where one train ops are common. That Steel Vengeance fast lane is the very worst, though by this point I have complained to the moon and back about that terrible queue design. Yeah, Maverick has been getting a big fast lane line this year. I have never waited for it when its nearly spilling out of the queue like that, so it was extremely helpful to know that is still only about 20 mins to wait. In the shade too!

I went for my first time of Saturday and steel vengance line reached 2 and a half hours and I only had to wait 15 witch I think is WAy better then 2 and a half hours. I would never go back without a fast lane

I spent my teenage years and my 20s waiting hours for a ride. Good memories - I can remember waiting 3 hours for Magnum in 1989 with beach balls flying in the cattle pens and relishing the little mist that the misters provided once in a while. Before then even, waiting 2 hours for Avalanche Run. Or over an hour for Gemini. Now, in my 50s - no way, I put my time in already. I go to ride, I'd rather go less and ride more. These days though, we go enough now that with a season pass, multi-park fastlane, it costs about $30-25 a day. However, my daughter is spoiled by all this, and I wish she experienced what I experienced in the earlier days. Man, over 3 hours in 2000 for Millenium!

Love your content. I was there yesterday and was going to ride Valravn and noticed that people dont go all the way to end of the seats and just sit down wherever. I saw that in your video as well. I wonder why the opps dont tell people to go to the end. Any thoughts on this.

Fast Lane even on a slow day is nice because sometimes the fast lane is a shorter walk to the ride than the regular line. Nice to save some steps.

The single fast lane is awesome, typically get it for Maverick. If you go often you will start to understand the flow of the park and know when rides will have shorter lines

You took the words out of my mouth lol. I was going to recommend going on a Saturday in July to receive an accurate results of the time savings for the Fast Lane Pass. Also, which seat gets you the highest amount of air time for the following roller coasters: Millennium? Maverick? Magnum? Blue Streak? Gemini? Valraven?
@BeachcliffStudios7 ай бұрын
All of them in the back (or 2nd to back for blue streak and Gemini) except for magnum which is best in the front car, especially row 3

I have the season pass Fast Lane at Canada's Wonderland and it's great - eliminates ALL of the wait on all included attractions except Yukon Striker (and, now just this year, Behemoth). Even in those cases though, you're only waiting a maximum 2-3 dispatches. Bought it at Cedar Point last year and I felt it was a ripoff. The "Fast Lane" cut off some of the line but not enough for me to think it was worth it. The fact that they shut nearly everything down after a few raindrops and then also started closing rides an hour before close while it was still rather busy didn't help. Our second day we skipped it aside for a few judicious single use passes (i.e., Steve), and still got nearly as many rides without it as the day with it. Then it was off to King's Island where I bought much cheaper Fast Lanes on very busy days where evidently nobody else knew they were for sale. We literally walked on EVERYTHING.
@BeachcliffStudios5 ай бұрын
We’re at cedar point about 40 times a year and have never run into them closing rides down early. But yeah, the merge points for millennium and now steel vengeance (the fast lane used to go straight to the station) really make things miserable for those rides. Kings island is great for their fast lane. Most cedar fair parks are good for their fast lane systems.

I got fast lane pro past on a Thursday in October (they are only open 6-midnight) and just the regular fast lane pass Friday, honestly the fast lane pro pass was totally well worth it. I went on maverick twice which took 2 minutes instead of 2 hours, steel vengeance took like 10-15 minutes once I had my stuff locked up instead of over an hour and millennium force was 15 minutes the first time and then 3 minutes the second time and valravn took 1 minute instead of 45 minutes and gatekeeper only took a minute that day too. I don’t know if it was as worth it the next day for just the regular fast pass, but it probably was though, I went on a lot of rides.
@virginiabushnell30423 ай бұрын
Also when I got the fast pass the Thursday night in October, anytime I went on a regular fast pass ride they really hooked me up and let me know which seat I wanted and let me know where the sweet spot was on that ride. Also if I went on a ride and then went on it again the second time they tried to give me the sweet spot. The sweet spot on Millenium force is row 5 though, fun fact. And on Gatekeeper it is the last row on the right or the first row on the left. I went on the last row on the right and it really was super enjoyable. Also Steel Vengeance took longer because of metal detectors, took 5 minutes longer because I didn’t know that was a thing. Your videos were useful in helping me decide on getting a fast pass for a second day. Even though it was expensive (I just walked up and got a ticket and the fast pass was more than the online listed price), I definitely thought it was worth it. I also feel like the park tried to make an effort to open as many rides as possible throughout the day since a lot of people seemed to get the fast pass on a Friday when the lines really weren’t that long.

I am going with some family on Tuesday July 2nd. Four of us our going and but only two of us are riding the rollercoasters. With the Veteran discount all four tickets with taxes etc are just over $200. My brother and in law and I would like to do the fast pass but for an extra $300 for both of us just doesn't seem worth it. What do you guys think?

My home Cedar Fair park is Dorney Park, and I've noticed they are strict on grouping rows on all the coasters. Seems to be a new thing this year, but has it been the same at CP as well?

I've noticed it the past couple years at Cedar Point, but for some reason in my limited visits this year it hasn't seemed as bad as years past.

Last time I was there was a Wednesday in early September. The only long wait I had was Maverick. On average I was waiting 5 minutes or less except Maverick which was 40 minutes At the end of the day I rode Raptor. The line was non existent so the ride operators let us ride again. Not worth the extra money IMO. Best thing is to just time your visit for non peak times. Avoid that place like the plague on July 4th weekend.

How is the middle of august in weekdays? I’m trying to decide between middle of august and very end. Middle is open till 10 but late august kids are back in school. I’m staying at the breakers for 4 nights. Do you have any experience going in august? Thanks

@Paolo87727 ай бұрын
Not necessary on the day you went, but I'll admit it's pretty dead for a Friday; the only day I NEEDED a fast lane plus the only time I was there in May 2018. That was Friday May 25th. But I didn't need it the three+ days preceding

@BeachcliffStudios3 ай бұрын
It’s hardly ever NOT worth it in our opinions
@fredericklockard38545 ай бұрын
Yes it’s worth it but don’t expect to just go right up to the front like at other parks at the better coasters. Having a fast pass will more than double the number of rides you get.

Hey guys I can’t decide whether to go middle of august (weekdays) vs the very last week of august. I want to go in the middle because it is open till 10 but if the waits are really bad vs the last week then I may reconsider How big a difference do you think there is between middle Aug vs End? Like an hour shorter, 30 minutes shorter or is it kind of up in the air? I will buy fast lane if I have to but I don’t want to. I’m staying 4 nights at breakers
@BeachcliffStudios7 ай бұрын
The end of August school is back in and it’s usually very dead opposed to the middle where most kids are still out of school, so if you are ok with them closing earlier and having very little wait times, go at the end of the month

Went yesterday. Packed as hell. Even with the fast lane pass it sucked. Every ride with even fast pass was over a 1/2 hour. Never seen a park with that many fast pass buyers. We were there for over 6 hours and only rode probably 9 rides. Complete waste of 400 $
@BeachcliffStudios6 ай бұрын
Nine rides in six hours isn’t bad considering nine rides on a busy day could easily take nine hours plus.
