In 2020, i first heard this song on the day i was diagnosed with leukemia. It was playing at night as i sat on the hospital bed worrying about things and the nurse had explained to me what i had. I had the radio on and i was just exhausted after a long day. I went into hospital in the morning after a phone call saying that i needed to get there for 9am and they did all these tests, x ray and blood test but i already had a blood test the day before. Then, they said i had to go to another hospital in Birmingham but i got really anxious as i had never stayed in a hospital before but they put me on a drip and took me in an ambulance to Birmingham hospital where i heard this song. I am much better now and my treatment is almost finished but whenever i hear this song, i will always be reminded of that traumatic day.

I never listened to the explicit version but I do know it drops a ton of “F-bombs” (16 to be exact, count every “forget” in this one or 17 if you include the one in the title) and it overall makes the song feel more toxic than a love song. I get that the overall theme is heart-break but there’s really better things to say other than that.
