Hello, I just want to thank you very much for these videos . You have helped me understand a lot of things. I am Master's student at Polytechnic Montreal. And I have decided to do my research project about the effect of scaling time histories on the behavior of a structure (most likely bridges). Hello, thank you for this nice course. I have a question and hope someone could help me with. I feel confused here that the time histories which are used as INPUT to structures are to be scaled to the target RESPONSE spectrum of the structures. Why's that? It would sound more logic to me if these time histories are to be scaled to some 'target INPUT time history' other than target RESPONSE spectrum. Thanks.
