*Love it! Keeps the room very **Fastly.Cool** . The manual states it comes with a year warranty and 5 year part replacement. The compressor makes the typical sound...small price to pay for AC.*

We have a vaulted ceiling so we installed a Hunter fan with a fairly long drop. We use the remote that mounts directly to wall switch and we love it. Hunter is hard to beat. Super quiet and reliable.

Paul, Hunter has been around for a long time, good product. There original models had low rpm cast motors with oil bath babbitt bearings. They are super quiet and last for ever. If you ever work on them don't turn the motor upside down or tilt them too far the oil will run out and make a mess of things, my dad found out the hard way and ruined a carpet. Your house is looking really nice.

@@Mrdashtard Agree! My recently installed Hunter Dempsey indoor low profile ceiling fan has a low hum which is very annoying at night when you're trying to sleep. None of my Hunter Douglas fans had this hum in the past. Wish I had bought a different brand.

Can’t go wrong with a Hunter fan! I had 6 of them in my last condo I renovated. 2 in the living room, 1 in each of the 2 bedrooms, 1 in the kitchen and one on the deck. I only have one in the bedroom in this new place I’m going to renovate. The Hunter I have now is WiFi controlled - sounds lazy but it sure is nice to say “hey google turn off ceiling fan” versus fumbling for the remote when you are half asleep and cold. Or turn it on when you are hot. Getting out of bed is for suckas!

Are you going to run them in reverse for the winter? In reverse pushes the warm air up, across the ceiling, down the walls to the floor keeping the air mixed without the breeze.

every few months. Say round the change of seasons from spring and summer to the colder of fall and winter here. I like to take them down, wash them and then I'll put them back up flipped to change up the space and keep parents from getting use to the look of the space and feeling inclined to do unneeded changes to "switch it up".

Looks great, and with a brighter bulb installed that’s all the light you need. kzbin.infoUgkxWF88GpljEn-0o34vtLFazEQ5h5Q33SjU As far as ease of installation- this was my first ceiling fan and it took about 3 hours because I had no idea what I was doing and also it’s helpful to have a second set of hands and a magnetic drill bit. Works great.

I have the exact same ceiling fan in my living room. Absolutely hate it. Never have had problems with Hunters, until this one. There is a clicking in the motor. I've taken the blades, shrouds, light fixture off to isolate the issue. It's in the motor itself. Problem is, its mounted to an 18' ceiling, so I have to get out my scaffolding to replace. For now, I just don't run it. I hope you guys have better luck with yours. It does look nice, though.

Hunter tech support said they do not recommend the wall type controllers (particularly Leviton/Lutron models) and I've been told it can create an annoying "buzz" noise in the fan. Was that your experience? What about the light controller at the wall switch? My home wiring has black-red-white wires to separately control the light.

greetings folks; i realise hunter is supposed to be self balancing but i have some that does not. anyway, i wanted to give yall a hint: the black metal paper clips that have the handles that fold away are excellent to clip on the blades to balance with. love them and use them often..................g

Hunter makes some really nice fans but the FIRST thing everyone should do is remove/bypass the STUPID & failure prone EPA mandated current limiters designed to control what size/wattage light you can use in the fan. 🙄🤦‍♂️ Great install video! 👍

Comment.....The quality of Hunter Fans have gone down hill. Buying a fan from Hunter now (2021) is hit or miss on whether you with get a good one or not. The motors can be loud and the finish on the blades can be terrible. Hunter used to be the king, now they are just another fan company.
