Just fantastic, what the Army does best. During the carols I was transported back to my home corps, St Albans UK and I could see the old carol sheets we used then. Having moved to rural Co Galway we are a fair distance from our corps, Dublin City, but we will be there in the new year. Oh how glad I am that I returned to the Army after 30 years in the Catholic church. God bless our Army and may she bless more people and bring more to Christ in 2023.

My grandfather was a pioneer member of the SA in Kerala, India. My father was an officer of the Army for a short period but left to join the British -Indian Army , because of poverty, during the second world war. I am grateful to the Salvation Army for enabling me to remember all those beautiful songs which I sung during my younger days at Sunday service/Sunday School. Best wishes and always hoped to hear good news about the salvation army. I had stayed in your Transit Lodge at Byculla in Bombay in the early 80's and Guest house in Kowdiar in the year 2021-22 for almost one year on both occasions when I was working in government service.I used to hear,others saying, in my childhood that there was none to rival SA as far as songs and music were concerned. Your Carol service has reminded me of this. Thanks and wish merry Christmas and happy new year from Cochin, India.May God bless you and your ministries.

You may not have noticed "S"on the collars of the 'band' members and that means they are officers in the Salvation Army. Rent,etc., of the Royal Albert Hall must have been waived by the authorities concerned. They were nominated for the Nobel peace prize for their 'charitable' works in the 70's or 80's.
