LOVE Christmas Choral music...used to be a choral singer too...Christmas being my favorite time of year...know and love them all...but being OLDER now, my voice is gone and can't join in anymore...and I hate that...not being able to sing...sighs..LOVED this performance...of course!

I'm an old music snob. There are a few good Christmas concerts out there then there is the best. I detest most contemporary Christian music. Fortunately, this isn't anything you need insulin to listen to. This is the finest Christmas concert I've seen so far over all my years. It even has Tavener's The Lamb!. It has my one essential component, children, lots of them. These boys will surely grow to be men. Merry Christmas, God is with us!

This is, in my opinion, the finest Christmas Concert I have ever heard or seen performed. I am an avid aficionado of sacred choir music. I bought several Kings College DVDs, and listen to many many performances. About 25 years ago I got to listen to Evensong at St Paul Cathedral London in the guest choir loft, and the next day, Kings College Cathedral Cambridge whilst on holiday in the UK. This is the standard I shall measure every performance by from now on. Every voice, instrumental performance, sound and video production, and director set new standards. I only hope the words and songs bring to witness Christ, the Son of God, the Saviour of our souls to your conscience. I'd be honoured if you proved me in error and posted another performance of higher quality. The encore makes my point with all humble and tenderness.

I love the occasional dissonance in the choral pieces. I've heard this only once before in Song to Athena, att Diana's funeral, and it's so remarkable that you can never forget it.

Still so marvelous! George Guest will be proud of you all. I heard the choir had recently broken its long tradition and accepted girls. It was a great shock to me.The clear lineal sound of this choir is untouched or changed(changing)? For me mixed choirs sound similar.

Thank you for posting this wonderful video. It is very bitter-sweet, however. My late cousin, who spent his entire career at St John's, finally retiring as Master of the College, was not in the audience. And BREXIT threatens to put an end to such events as this.
