We're in Lake Havasu City, AZ and are looking at moving to Chattanooga. Seeing that Chattanooga is pretty Liberal, I'm having second thoughts now. Havasu is one of the most Patriotic republican cities in the US. That'd be a drastic change, and not for the better. lol.

I loved your video. Would so like to leave Las Vegas. I never realized when I moved here that the high desert could get so cold. We don't have a real winter, just cold and wind, very little in the way of rain, but occasional snow. It sounds like you like to drive. I understand that Tail of the Dragon is a lot of fun and it's relatively near you. Might be more of a springtime drive. Not sure if you'd encounter ice in the winter and from what I hear, it's a road to drive when conditions are clear. Next time I'm back there I hope to have the time to check it out. Keep up the videos, love them all!

Excellent vlog ladies. Hows the gig industry in Chattanooga currently? What apps are best and what are the challenges compared to Riverside County? I am in Los Angeles county and considering a move. Could I subsistence on gig income or is it reasonably only supplemental? Anything additional you'd like to share would be super helpful. Thank you in advance for your opinions! New Subscriber!

I'd love to see some research on the topic, but I know SO MANY people who also have the "home" feeling immediately in Chattanooga. Not Nashville, not Johnson City, not Knoxville, but only Chattanooga. Very interesting. I'm moving there in Feb/Mar myself, so thanks for sharing your updates!

Are you there yet? I’m sensing moving to eastern TN soon. I’ve been sensing Knoxville but am comparing Chattanooga. I hate concrete jungle. I’m seeking woods & water. Can you tell me what there’s more of there?
@ArbitraryLifestyle3 жыл бұрын
@@Stall-FedCalves I'm not. Finding the ideal place to live has taken longer than expected, but I'm betting on this cool loft being available to me end of March at the latest. Knoxville is a college town, that's what I didn't like about it. Chatt is far from a "concrete jungle", but also I don't care to live in the city at all. I want to live in East Ridge or Signal Mountain or Hixon as I'm not a city person. That's part of the appeal to me though is that I could go downtown and have lunch after a hike and then go swim in a creek somewhere. LOTS of outdoor adventure and nature in Chatt and it feels more mature than Knox to me.
@Stall-FedCalves3 жыл бұрын
@@ArbitraryLifestyle Yes, I hate city concrete jungle! I’m from the Jersey Shore Pinelands where there’s beautiful woods & water. I haven’t had that for 8+ years now. I’m dying for beautiful woods & water. Well, I’m unemployed but God always provides for me. Keep me in mind for a roommate perhaps.

Maybe you are referring to the heat index. Don’t believe we got over a 100 temperature wise all summer. Also, sales tax is high but in contrast there’s no income tax in TN.

Good evening mis Garcia, my wife and I moved from Los Angeles, Ca to Colorado back in 2010. Now we're going to leave Colorado and move to Tennessee. Colorado is following the immoral foot steps of California and the very high cost of leaving too. Next, I'm a truck driver and she is in HR, office work, clerical,...etc. Do you have any advise for us in terms of where in Tennessee we should move? We must be in an area that is very affordable to rent to start (we may buy later on down the road depending on what kind of a deal we might get) also there must be jobs available. Now, I'm very marketable because I'm a truck driver, but my wife isn't as marketable even with her Masters Degree in Business! Anyway, what kind of advise can you give us? Also we need to be close to major cities and shopping areas,...etc no more than 30 minutes by car. Any advise will be very appreciated.

Hello and thank you for watching! I live in East Brainerd area which is about 25 minutes out of downtown Chattanooga. It’s more in my price range. Has plenty of stores, a mall and restaurants. I’m pretty sure as a truck driver you can find work out here with no problem. There are many manufacturing business out here that you wife may be able to use her degree in. There’s Coke, M&M, Volkswagen and many more. Hope that helps.

I agree with the other comment. People are more concerned with the state staying red. I think there are a lot of investors buying homes and rehabbing them to help make the city look better. I am not in the market to buy a house right now so I’m not sure what the rates are.

Maybe don’t advertise to other Californians . Chattanooga’s charm is that it was affordable and a small city don’t change what’s good with the city . Understand by driving people here you are only pushing out locals out of affordable living and changing the culture. Keep Chattanooga small please!
