Would you recommend Chattanooga over Knoxville?

@@FaithUpjohn Traffic is a lot worse in Knoxville but it is also a much larger population there. This also means more amenities are available. So without knowing your desires kind of tough to recommend. I find the variety of places to eat are better in Knoxville. No clue about property taxes and such. the Zoo and museums are a lot bigger and better. Remember it is only 90 miles or so between the two cities so easy enough to make a day trip and enjoy each. Dollywood , pigeon forge and gatlinburg are closer also meaning day trip from knoxville. Chattanooga is more of an out door place to live with hiking boating and such.

Good choice! One of my best friends is also moving to where y’all are. I fled San Diego California (which I loved) and moved to Texas because I couldn’t take what that state was turning into. In the current state of the world I feel much more comfortable in a red state. The market is crazy right now so many people moving to TX, TN, FL, etc.

Welcome guys! I just stumbled on your channel and so glad I did. It's always awesome to see love for this city on KZbin. I moved here from Los Angeles in 2016 and so glad I did. It's got that southern charm with just enough metropolitan vibe for my taste. Coffee scene is great too, I recommend Mean Mug & Stone Cup on Northshore, and Sleepyhead Coffee downtown! Funny enough, we're fixing to move into a house in the spring, so we'll be facing the daunting task of finding a house in a currently-competitive housing market. Hopefully we get as lucky as you did!!

What a gorgeous little bungalow! That blue, the different woods in the build, the fireplace -- it's a perfect bit of Tennessee. I'm so glad Chattanooga is taking off this way, and I have faith that the young people like you who are moving there will work hard to protect the beauty of nature that makes East Tennessee a truly special part of the country. It just warms my heart that you're settling there and bringing your goodness to the community. I grew up hiking and climbing and rappelling and canoeing just to the east in the 70s, and driving from Nashville through Chattanooga to get there was always a treat. Moved to Chattanooga about 3 years ago! My husband has lived here for about 10, but we love it here! Looking into buying a house in the next 6 months or so, so definitely a little daunting! Glad you guys chose Chatt!

Welcome! We moved from Northwest Suburbs of Chicago to Ringgold, GA just outside of Chattanooga. It was the best move ever!

We are from Bellevue, WA (just outside Seattle), and we were in Chattanooga the same day it snowed there. We are actually living in Nashville for the past 2 months, but really enjoyed our visit to Chattanooga. I definitely wouldn't mind moving there, but my only hesitation is seeing all the bad statistics about crime.

They say the crime is high everywhere when you google it.. crime will always be higher in any big city. But from my experience i didn't eye witnessed any crime in Chattanooga the 10 times ive been.

Welcome home! Maybe our drones will cross paths someday (but not too close, I'm just learning). In addition to all the outdoors stuff, we have great whitewater kayaking (yeah, and flatwater kayaking too).

Congratulations!! I laughed so hard when Kramer peed on the "tree" in the living room. My dog would have done exactly the same! When we go to other people's homes he pees on any rug he finds (we have all wooden floors and no rugs thanks to him). He thinks it's the next best thing to grass!!

Thank you fort his video! We are looking to relocate from Seattle. We have two boys and feel Chat is wonderful place for us! My husband and I are from Colorado and spent the last 8.5 years in Seattle. Hoping TN is the right move for us, as we have never lived in the south.
