What a PERFECT time for you to watch this. I truly BELIEVE that the WORLD should see this. A year ago, when I first watched Hi Ren. I saw something WONDERFUL happening. And the incredible irony is that it is a saying that was originally meant to convey the effect of “ trickle down “ economics : benefiting the top 1% which has been proven to not trickle down, rather it is reupped into a higher and higher levels creating an even greater gap between them and the other 99%. This was a perfect recommendation!! It really gives insight into the heart that he puts into all that he does. He’s not just incredibly talented, but he went to hell and back, and didn’t allow anything to turn his soul bitter and resentful. Instead, he channeled it all into his art and has tried to be a voice for the voiceless. The other thing I admire about him is that he practices what he preaches. He lives the “Rising Tide” sentiment each and every day, through his avid support of the reaction community (let us know if you ever get any copyright blocks - we can connect you with Ethan Baer), by staying independent and building his team with trusted and loyal friends, and in his many collaborations with artists from vastly different circles. Even though you are mainly a vocal coach, you offer better overall insight into the artistry and musicianship in your reactions compared to anyone else. Keep it up man. Much respect, My wife of 25 yrs didn't make it out, and took her life when I said I couldn't ride this rollercoaster anymore It was was dark for a while, then I discovered this young man and his story and everything changed. Thank you. This new adventure is so exciting on lots of levels. I am so grateful to be at a place where me transcending my demons can be of service to others going through it themselves. In this way and many others I feel a great kinship with Ren and so many Renegades.

Great reaction to our (and now your) Dear Ren. I’ve been watching him for over a year now; started with Hi Ren, as you and many of his devoted followers did. I’m an oldie Gma who grew up listening to 60s, 70s and (some) 80s music.. had pretty much given up with current tunes until Ren.. and the many cohorts he’s brought us through his duets and collabs. REAL music.. written, sung and most often produced by them.. such a treat it’s been. So.. my suggestion to you is to consider listening to one of his newer videos - Troubles. It seems to be Ren wrapping up his music related to his difficult health issues (for him, mostly stemming from being misdiagnosed for years while suffering from Lyme’s disease). Troubles is a beautiful tune.. and a transition away from all of his ‘Sick Boi’ past! So excited to be part of your 10k subs - congrats on that - for sure!

When I first heard Ren he had a GoFund me page to try to pay for his treatment in Canada. After listening to Hi Ren, then Sick Boi and The Trilogy I was overwhelmed by the feeling that this boy needed to live so gave £100. I have never before or since felt this urge, I do give to certain charities (Scottish Air Ambulance, Barnados, NSPCC) but never to some bloke on KZbin. Ren is a lyrical genius, I am in awe of his way with words. I have seen people from all walks of life fall under his spell from rappers to classical musicians to video production artisans to well everybody really. Every aspect of his work resonates with someone and his words change lives. I remember putting a comment on one of his earlier videos (a quote from Monty Python) "he's not the messiah he's a very naughty boy" because the worship that was coming his way was worrying. I was worried that something would happen to turn people's opinion and his fall would be horrendous. Fortunately Ren has proved to be as good at being a decent human as he is at making music and that fall has not happened. Much love to Ren and all Renegades xxx

I knew this one would resonate. Ren is a humble and kind soul, and I get the sense you are too. The fact that he took this moment that could have been celebratory or self serving and literally used it as an opportunity to lift up others speaks volumes about his character.
