I always thought mad tv was superior to SNL. Theyre comedic raunchyness was something i truley appreciated about this show. I wish it was still on tv
@kenzielynn10473 жыл бұрын
I think madTV ended well when it did, before political correctness was all that mattered. They knew when to walk away. In this decade it would definitely either be bogged down and muddled by new producers and comedians or just tasteless comedy, their ratings started to plummet so they decided to quit while it was still hot instead of wring every last drop they had until it sucked. I think the last season was the worst, it just wasn’t funny to me. I’m glad they went out with dignity and now they’re hailed as legends. If they went on we wouldn’t even be appreciative of the original work because we’d probably hate the new work, kind of like SNL.

Straight up. Smaller cast due to a smaller show I assume but that’s what makes it better than SNL to me. Their entire cast has to be on point, always. No room for dead weight. My favorite comedians and comediennes come from this show. Will Sasso, to me, is hands down the funniest fuckin’ guy on the planet.
@markuse34724 жыл бұрын
@@GarrettLoganGriffin Nah, SNL is better. Their acting is about acting and being as versatile as much as possible and they both show. I can't say that about MadTv. Some acts and scripts/skits surely were very good, but not all. SNL is jam-packed with much talent. Usually.

Mad TV will forever be a favorite of mine and hold a place in my heart. IDC what anyone says: MadTv puts SNL to shame any day! Yes SNL has had it's funny characters/sketches but in my opinion MadTv showcased funnier, more talented people far more consistently. Plus, there is a certain "brand" of wildly inappropriate and bizarrely hilarious humor that MadTv NAILED and that is my sense of humor 100%! These characters remain with me still and always will and are still- all these years later-a huge part of my life...the references, quotes, quips, re-enactments and goofy inside jokes that me and my sister make constantly are never ending! Lol TO THIS DAY there's not a winter that goes by where I don't say "Look how little my gloves are" every. time. I. wear. gloves. 😂 We are also prone to busting out with an impromptu "look what I can do!" often. So here's to MadTv for the memories that last forever. I miss this show so much. They never got the recognition they deserved, dammit! And here's to Mad Magazine, too. I'm proud to be able to have passed my love of the show and magazine collection onto my own teen daughter.
