I know a lot of people don't like new year's resolutions, but as someone who struggles with staying motivated it's really inspiring to hear that you have specific goals to work towards in 2021! Even things like being more intentional about reaching out to friends is a great resolution to have. I want to read more and feed my soul with more exercise and time spent with friends and Jesus

YES to the Old Testament 🙌🏻I read the OT in 2019 and it was such a good and satisfying feeling. Now I know that there's no part of the Bible that I haven't read- no surprises. Also in a weird way it helped me appreciate God's love so much more; you read about this Almighty and Righteous King and how no one can see His face and live, and then we get to the NT and somehow this holy God says that you can approach His throne with confidence? and that He calls you His beloved daughter? It's mind blowing

I find it weird australians saying about 2020 being a bad year when they have no idea how bad it was for the rest of europe or even USA. Like the fact you can even go out for New Years is amazing
@supanidazyntek76434 жыл бұрын
It was bad for everyone and we understand it was much worse for other countries and it’s important to acknowledge that but to say that we have no idea what’s going on in other countries is just incorrect
@clare69244 жыл бұрын
“Comparative suffering corrodes compassion and connection” - Brene brown I don’t think you can really compare two experiences and say one is worse than the other. This year has been hard for everyone, at the start of the year majority of our country was on fire, people lost family members, friends, homes, possessions. Our feeling of being safe in this beautiful country was shattered. Combined with the fires was the drought hundreds of farmer lost their lives, homes, livestock. It’s ruined so many people. Then there were floods, people died and again lost homes and possessions Then coronavirus came. Melbourne, Victoria was in lockdown for months on end. Other states have been lucky enough to only be in lockdown a couple of months during March/June. However people have still died, people lost their loved ones. It’s been devastating Our politics continued to fail us and the black lives movement bought huge waves of change through Australia too. Indigenous Australians speaking out and protesting rightly so for there lives. They suffered. People plummeted below the poverty line, the economy is wrecked. People lost their jobs, lives and their homes this year. So to sum up our year may not have been as not bad as yours. But I urge you to look again. I understand you have had a tough year but so have we. The human race needs to stick together not tear each other apart. Sending kindness and love your way
