You asked about inside cabin experiences. We spent 200 days in an inside cabin on Oceania's Insignia. We had no problems, enjoyed the room and the wonderful experience. The room had a loveseat which added just enough extra space. No problem with storage. Had an inside cabin on a 10-day Caribbean cruise on Holland America's Konigsdam. Cabin was very small. One morning when we had an early excursion and had to order breakfast in the room, I ate on the floor (I could have eaten on the bed). So carefully check the size of the cabin and layout.

Completely agree that some of the restaurants need to have privacy from the Martini Bar and Chandelier Show. Currently on board and ate at Le Petit Chef. We were sat right next to the entrance. We could hardly hear the dinner show, because of the loud music at the Martini Bar. I would highly recommend anyone making a reservation there request a table in the back.

We were on the Edge in early December. Enjoyed it very much but really good to hear about the design improvements that have been made on the Beyond. Captain Kate was a "guest" on that December sailing. Fun to see her around the ship. Annie Leibovitz took all of the Celebrity diversity/inclusion ad campaign photos on that sailing as well which was also really fun to watch.

6:00 - the reason to close blinds at night, is that it's not going to consume all that light. When blinds are closed it's going to reflect light back in to the room.

Tip for inside cabins...turn tv on to navigation channel b4 bed. When the sun comes up, it's on the bow cam so you can wake up when it's light. You do sleep good tho!

Thanks for sharing your views on Beyond, I totally agree with your room layout, could be so much better, we normally book balcony but on our first cruise 2000, we had an interior cabin, we left the TV on with the view of the outside, so we felt we had natural light, I guess a lot of people did that because now there are virtual cabins

Personally, the lounge garden looks a bit weird but I don’t find it offensive. I greatly appreciate that there is alcove seating. I find lounge chairs to be very uncomfortable and enjoy sitting in booths and areas that are more quiet. The garden also means less people in an area. I’ll take that any day over a lounge chair.

The Veranda indoor balcony was amazing!! Agree 1000% with your pros. and could not find any cons for Beyond Ship. Sorry but nothing cheap looking on any Celebrity ships, especially Beyond. Great honest reviews as always and though I won't be on the Beyond until June 13(OMG it's coming up), I do agree with some of your positives and negatives. The alcove cactus lounge does look rather tacky and an eye sore from your video. Are the infinity pools on the Rooftop heated? Bummer if it's not, especially on chilly nights. I am staying in the infinite veranda room and wonder if the same situation about the bed being too close to the closet. Oh, how are the excursions and ports that the ship visits? Any positives and negatives in these areas? Looking forward to your next video.

Not sure on the infinite verandas on Beyond but usually we love ours on the other ships! We recommend taking some on your own excursions as the prices are quite high for some of the excursions that were just a train ride away.

We don’t believe so as Eden is technically two decks and most music is live lounge music focused on Deck 5. So we believe you will not have much trouble on a deck 7. That said, we’ve never stayed in those rooms so we can’t say for certain. Motion would be a bigger worry given the aft location for us. ☺️

Great question, no lounge chairs come with the cabana, but they are free to all so if you grab some outside your cabana, then they are yours!

Love love love the Sunset Bar design and expansion. The new cabana improvements, too! We rented one on the Apex and the foot traffic basically through the cabana was a big negative- the two chairs by the railing were part of the cabana rental and the attendants were often asking random people not to sit in them. I do like how the Martini Bar is centered, and totally agree about the chandelier- lot of neon and square? Those little cozy spaces for two at the steakhouse seem wasted with people walking right by and the potential noise. What's with the neon stripe around those alcoves? Yikes. Very 80's and not in a good way. Great vlog! Your opinions sound fair and reasonable to me!

Loved the Edge. Nice to know what's the difference between her and the Apex and Beyond. Personally, I don't ever go a to bar either on land or on a cruise so I didn't notice the lack of them. The room looks bigger and deeper than the Edge's inside cabin; not sure if it's standard though. I always though Eden and the projection on food gimmicks were... well... gimmicks. Won't try again.

Overall, what a beautiful ship! I agree with you on the bad and ugly. Hopefully they’ll get the food situation taken care of soon. Maybe after the first season they’ll switch up that alcove seating on the pool deck - I’m not a fan, and I don’t think it’s a good use of the space.

It would have to look quite different in-person than in the video before I could call it an "eyesore". It's a very contemporary take on a garden but I'm not sure what that pink line is in the rocks which looks weird. At the expense of lounging space, I would agree- there always needs to be lounging space for those who don't burn like vampires in the sun like me. Good review. I think the one thing that I noticed was the Martini Bar is just not very personable like on the smaller ships. It's large and appears a bit "generic". Thanks for the great review.

Do you guys do the TA rates to sail Celebrity? I've been looking at retail rates and they're way more than I'm willing to spend.

We’ve done it all from retail, to Casino rates and this was our first ever TA rate cruise on Beyond. That said, Celebrity has some awesome rates out there, you just have to grab them when they come out! Celebrity also just introduced Cruise Only rates which does include perks such as Wi-Fi, drinks and pre-paid Gratuities. Those rates are more reasonable as well. That said, Celebrity is considered a Premium cruise line to that of the main commercial lines such as Carnival, Norwegian, MSC or Royal Caribbean so they will be more expensive in most cases. ☺️

It still lacks a space like Bolero's on Royal Caribbean or Schooner Bar. Those are places I live in on a RCI ship. It still lacks a forward observation lounge. It still lacks a library or card room. The Sunset Bar is an outside area. But inside meet and mingle areas are too few for any sized ship. The Zenith was 48,000 tons and had a library, card room, mid ship lounge, aft lounge, observation lounge, dedicated disco (that's 4 dance floors) yet still had a 2 floor theater. The 77,000 ton Galaxy added to that an extensive spa area and solarium pool and a cigar smoking lounge. Because of the suite-only area and maybe an excessive amount of specialty restaurants, the ship isn't good for those that want to go to different venues to meet and mingle or dance to different types of music rather than stadium, multi-tiered stuff that the Edge ship class has. The placement of the specialty restaurants is better on the Solstice. They're more aft and in their own quiet section so you don't hear the noise from the Grand Foyer/atrium when dining in those venues (though the library has that issue). I really don't think this Edge class ship is that well designed when you look past the newness and "prettiness" of it and I think there are more options to socialize on Celebrity's previous class of ships as well as on HAL, Cunard, NCL, Royal Caribbean and others. They need to add in more venues on their next class IMO.

At the beginning of the video you mention that the state room was great, then you go and bad mouth it. Which is it? And BTW, it's an interior room, why would you expect "outside lighting".

We provide the good and bad. Overall the stateroom was great, but there are a few areas that were not great like the darker lighting and lack of lighter/brighter color schemes to lighten the space up. It’s not our first inside stateroom, and we never expected outside lighting. This one was just designed darker than most and felt more dungeon like than others. Other than that, our room was great and the bathroom is larger than most! 🥳

There was quite a bit of brown and beige in the room. Compared to inside rooms on other shops with bright blues and light colors that just seemed to brighten the room up a bit! Royal used a lot of blue colors in their inside staterooms and we love that!

Beautiful ship! I agree with your dislike of the desert/cactus/rocks design in that area. I’m out at sea, I would prefer a design/ atmosphere more tied to the ocean. Some kind of water feature would look better and seem more appropriate. But hey, some may think this is cool. Bert Patient Came off Beyond three weeks ago and wish i was back on she is one super ship my wife and friends have been on Celebrity ship but this one is tops I think the cactus look better at night and the sun bar at night very romantic I was lucky enough to have my photo taken with captain Kate and like the ship she is also brilliant we rate Celebrity at the top and have been told by travel agents they can not match them and all the staff are fantastic

We just got off the Constellation. Room service horrid, and the Tuscan Grill made the worst Cacio e Pepe we have ever had. Dry dry dry, horrid for an Italian style up pay restaurant. Even the up pay steaks were not that great.

Your criticisms seem pretty petty to me. You had one bad meal at Cosmopolitan and bad club sandwich from room service and you say the food on Beyond is "hit or miss"? Give me a break.

Just so you know, this is our favorite cruise ship. That said, we always provide honest reviews and critique fairly. As for food being hit or miss on our sailing, that was our honest review and we gave a few examples. We could go through every app, entree, dessert, full meal and snacks but that would be a waste of time as it is easier to say overall our food was hit or miss. Nothing is petty. Just honest criticism based on our own experience. Hope this helps clarify! ☺️

I don't think it is the size of the Solstice ships that make them feel more intimate. They're really almost the same size especially when you consider that the suite-only area takes away a good portion of the front of the Edge ship to most passengers. I think it is more how the spaces are designed. The Solstice is designed for more intimate areas where the Edge tiers them. The restaurants are more intimate on the Edge ships, however. But the Edge ships are like 130,000-140,000 tons vs. 122, 000 for the Edge. That's not a huge difference.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Personally I think celebrity waste too much space on art. A bit more practical use of space would be nice. Beautiful ship though, looking forward to our cruise on her in July.

The acrobatics shows are way over-played everywhere now. Glad to see your review, because I'm not sure the stage shows would appeal to me at all. The gray/drab stateroom looks depressing. Awful. My college dormitory had more appeal.

Agree. This ship is woefully lacking in other types of entertainment. They try to make "The Club" an everything space but to do a real ambiance lounge for say salsa dancing or cabaret, you need a different environment than the Martini Bar, Eden or the Club. A ship that claims it is premium should offer that in addition to the every ship does silent disco (Sweet Caroline again), line dancing, and the acrobatics everywhere thing that Celebrity is doing. As for the staterooms and a lot of the decor on the ship, it's too lacking in color. You can do contemporary design like Celebrity used to do and have bold colors and patterns even in 2024. But Celebrity chose to go trendy and it's just not that interesting IMO.
