"Unforgettable" that is what she is! One of the true trailblazers of her time, whether her rivals recognized it or not. Her catalog is rated 💯 as she did it all Jazz, R&B, Pop, funk, soft rock etc. Natalie kept people singing her songs from the first album til the last. Through her ups and downs she always was in good spirit 🎉. She will be remembered for her ✨ timeless songs, great voice, distinct brown eyes.

@daniellej7914 💯 You are right, I looked at some images/photos of her mother, and she didn't look all that. Just because she was light skin/high yellow, she looked down on others who didn't look like her. Natalie was beautiful! She looked like both her parents. I felt really bad for Natalie when she got sick. Oh well, such is life. 😫 You just never know.

@Imissyoulou Yes, her mother was "snooty" because she had a lighter skin tone. Her parents thought that her husband, Nat, was too dark for her. So, go figure. Very sad! 😫 "Our" people are so lost because a lot of us still got that "divide and conquer" issue when it comes to the different shades of skin tones; "slave mindset mentality." 😢

Natalie Cole is indeed a Sophisticated Lady with the voice of a songbird. I love her music. My indirect connection to Natalie Cole was my public school music teacher Miss Baskerville quit her job to become one of her backup singers. I hope you can do a story on Reverend Ike, Paul Robeson, Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, Donald Goines, Iceberg Slim and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Again thank you for the double shot, an injection I solely needed.
