One of Kelly’s top performances even though she sang backup. It was a great showcase of her ability to hold back and still put on a great performance. Also teddy really held his own and owned the song.

Kelly did not sing backup on Teddy Swims song. Kelly was a featured artist on Teddy's song. There is a BIG difference between a back-up singer and being a featured artist on a song. Kelly didn't hold back either. The reason an artist pulls back from the mic when singing a big note is to stop distortion. Sound engineering 101. Teddy was there as a guest on Kelly's show to promote his new track!!! That's what Artists do.

Totally agree. She has the singing power to be able to blow most anyone off the stage. She is such a consummate artist she knows how to sync with/complement another singer and not take over the song. She's just amazing.

the statement where she doesnt rehearse so much is an interesting one to me. when her and ariana grande collabed that was supposedly one take and even when shes belting or going high, she backs up from the mic to let the other person shine. shes so talented.

Teddy Swims is incredibly talented... so sweet, so genuine. A couple of years back he did a live bit on some talk show and I was an instant fan. He is very gracious and humble. To me he is this generation's Luther and Teddy P. He has so much SoUL. Kelly was perfection with him on this.

She has an incredible talent for being able to do it with someone and be at their level no matter what it is. She was so thrilled to be singing with him that she did not want to outshine him She pulled away from the mic for those huge huge notes that could have blown him away. That said one of the best duets I've ever seen and I had a sneaking suspicion they didn't really have time to practice but it was perfect. Please please rerecord it together. Jelly roll did it with his song save me re-released it with Lainey Wilson flew to number one. This song needs to come out with both of them! How humble she is will never cease to amaze me. Also I got to say it's the first time I've ever seen her seem pretty sexy singing
