The brothers Grim didn't write Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. They collected fairy tales which had evolved organically through a millennia old oral tradition. While the versions they collected were German, most of the tales could be found in recognizable versions across the whole of Northern Europe. Of course, the brothers edited the fairy tales, before publication; some of the tales would've been considered highly inappropriate by the bourgeois, who were the main market, both with regard to sex, violence, superstition, heresy, and more. Still, the core of the tales is deeply rooted in Dutch, German, Polish, and other North European cultures. Importantly, this is the culture of the People; the peasants, laborers, servants, and others in the lower classes; the culture of the majority. Hollywood elitists appropriating it for their own political purposes is spitting on countless generations who worked very hard, at great cost to themselves, in order to lift future generations up. It's a reversal of the process of democracy, humanism, and equality; it's a return to the elitism of aristocracy - the "rule of the betters". It's everything that the Hollywood elite imagines, or at least tries to pretend that they're not. This isn't really about Rachel Ziegler's skin color, though it will work against immersion, and is very revealing of the attitude and intention behind the movie; if the movie was otherwise good, though, that wouldn't be a major problem. It's much more about the insufferable moralistic arrogance of an elite that despises the "unwashed masses", and believes they're in a position to lecture, berate, and lead them. They're not. If the Rachel Zegler version isn't better, at least on the surface, with its much higher budget and production time, that's a complete scandal. Someone please figure out why Rachel so upset about Brett's version??? she said she don't like the original story of snow white and never will watch it again, then she change snow white's characters, then she got upset when she knew Brett is keeping the original story with a twist of modern story. If she don't like it so don't bother

Rachel is jealous that people like Brett Cooper, while Rachel comes off as being offensive to the public and not liking the classic tale that she is in. She would rather see it changed to a modern woke message who rejects true love to be a total girl boss.

The fact that the Snow White Rachel wanted to become was already made in *Snow White and the Huntsman* and *Mirror-Mirror* is hilarious to me. Especially since they still had a love element in there while being badasses. That’s not mentioning several *other* Snow White adaptations that had Snow White as a badass while still finding or looking for love.

It wasn't so much Disney's changes as it was Rachel's horrific comments about the original 1937 cartoon. She was so happy and giddy trashing it which made her version completely unwatchable.
