The lava and ice walls kill you if the hitboxes of madeline and the wall overlay. If you are in range of the wall without being in the wall, it simply acts as if it was a normal wall... However, as a human it's pretty hard to control your movement enough to not get one pixel off where you want to be. It's possible but not very reliable enough. Also there are not a ton of places, chapters etc. where you can you this mechanic (apart from core and reflection D-sides)

It's been about 8-9 months since I've done the D-sides, but 7D went over a MASSIVE overhaul, did it not? I remember a whole different set of shitty screens, particularly in 3000M. May have to give it another go once I get have my fun on Farewell and want to get back to other levels. Love this TAS
