600 hours later and over 100 hours of Farewell Golden Attempts STOP PUSHING ME PLEASE, LET ME GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO This is my favorite game of all time, for all the reasons you wonderfully illustrated and more. One thing I want to point out is I feel like the Music of Farewell is just truly perfect, Tracks like beyond the heart feel like they're daring you to go further, pushing you to make it a few more rooms, but then you reach Recon and Final room, and in a start contrast, the music doesn't feel like it's pushing you forward anymore, it feels like it's comforting you and begging you not to give up, and that is just absolutely poetic.

Celeste is a work of art. It’s my favorite game of all time, ever. I’ve poured tens of thousands of attempts into it, and enjoyed it just the same. Everything about this game is just so wonderful. The story is heart-melting, the gameplay is extremely fun, even if it’s difficult, and the progression is perfect. I am so glad you are enjoying this game so much. Oh, and great video. I’m subscribing.

Celeste was actually the first platformer I ever played. I was doubting wether it was worth to buy the game, but now i think this was the best desision I ever made Edit: Btw this video earned you a sub :)

I think the beautiful artwork of this game also made a huge impact on why I admire it so much. Every level has more sights to see, and this gives a boost of motivation to inspire you to keep pushing. The music is also fantastic and totally engages you in the gameplay. Great video, man, such an underrated channel. Keep it up, and keep trying to improve!

And of course, for those who still want more, there's always the modding scene, where all the A sides are beginner and even C-sides and farewell are still only intermediate to low advanced, with expert, grandmaster, and three whole extra tiers of hardlist difficulty above that ensuring there's always something harder - and many of those modded levels using entirely vanilla gameplay mechanics that always existed, but just weren't required, and many of the rest using simple expansions thereof

i think one of the biggest things that make this game so great is just how quick the reset time is, as you said. If there was even a second more between each death, i probably wouldn't have been able to reach my way through it. at the moment im doing the b-sides (whats a c-side? guys? haha whats that? surely easier right? ...right?) but knowing there's so much more is honestly quite motivating. Even at this false summit, I feel proud. and im ready to reach the next false summit.

4:38 you seem to be misremembering a bit. Theo teaches the feather trick before Mirror Temple where he is encased in a crystal, and the level with the feathers is further after that

Ahhhh yes thank you this! Yes you are correct. Theo teaches Madeline the trick at the end of chapter 4 when she has the panic attack and then it’s Chapter 5 Mirror Temple before the player gets to the feather, thank you for helping me clear this up. Means a lot!
